If so, how do you differentiate between having high self-esteem vs. being a confidence person? Is it possible to have one but not the other?

Is it the fear of rejection, insecurity, low self-esteem, shyness, lack of confidence, your looks or a mole on your left cheek or everything?

I feel like life is too short to be worrying about if the person you have genuine feelings for feel the same way about you. Just go out there and freaking ask.

This guy (27 years old) I have been dating for seven months has suddenly changed towards me and I feel my self-esteem and confidence has degraded over these months mainly because I feel like I'm being played by him or he is playing with my mind. Thank you.

1) He talks about how hot other women are in front of me. When we are out on a date, he talks and complains about other people in the same setting and these are people he doesn't know-basically being critical of them. I don't really like it because I just think he should mind his own business.

2) Instead of talking and resolving little issues, he gives the silent treatment for 2-3days. I feel it's becoming emotionally abusive as It's torture and no matter how much I try to talk to him and get him to tell me what is wrong, he won't do it. Thus, I constantly have to apologise for whatever it is that makes him give me the cold shoulder all the time.

3) The day before I left for America to see my family, he was distant. I rang him up and he said "F*** this, I don't want to have this conversation with you now when you can just fly off tomorrow!!! I don't wanna talk now in this heat. Far out." (He didn't apologise for swearing at me)

4) He found out my dad didn't like him because my dad thinks he is a player. My boyfriend then told me a story about how his grandfather went against family to marry his grandma. I thought maybe I should do that and try harder cos that is probably what he wants me to do. TURNS OUT: I talked to dad. Dad warned me but said he just wanted me to be happy. I told my boyfriend, but now he says "What if the interest isn't there any more?" "i lost interest cos of your dad"

5) I have a gut feeling he is cheating emotionally and wants someone else. He told me "it's all in your head. You are speaking nonsense. Enough of these allegations. Where do you get your information? Where is the proof?" BUT, my best friend told me

I understand people have different perceptions of beauty and for the most part it is geared toward the European aesthetic however I am curious what our society would rate me as. I do not at all fit the European ideal so I am expecting low numbers, but that is fine. I would simply like honesty. I have enough self confidence to not let others ideal of beauty hurt my self esteem. So again please be honest :) and to be honest it is beauty on the inside that matters.
