I understand that "tea parties" are a thing that very young girls do to feel grown up. And, perhaps 150 years ago, tea parties were a social activity for mature women, an excuse to dress in your finery, gather, and gossip. (What men would call a "hen fest.")

Have you ever, in your adult years, either hosted or attended a tea party? How old were you when you attended or hosted an event?

Let’s take a look at the tiers of cartoon shirts…

Tier 1 — extremely naughty cartoons: Sausage Party Foodtopia, Rick and Morty, South Park, The Boondocks, Superjail, Mr. Pickles, Velma, Harley Quinn.

Tier 2 — super edgy cartoons: Family Guy, American Dad, The Cleveland Show, Aqua Teen Hunger-Force, Robot Chicken, Big Mouth.

Tier 3 — moderately edgy cartoons: The Simpsons, Futurama, Disenchantment, Beavis and Butthead, Daria, King of the Hill, Regular Show, Winx Club, Space Ghost Coast to Coast, Ren and Stimpy.

Tier 4 — safe-*ish* cartoons: Adventure Time, Steven Universe, The Owl House, Rocko’s Modern Life, Samurai Jack, Bob’s Burgers, The Great North. (Though I personally see the last three as *more or less* Tier 3.5.)

Tier 5 — safe *all ages* cartoons: Animaniacs, SpongeBob, Fairly Odd Parents, Teen Titans Go, Phineas and Ferb, The Loud House, Gumball, and arguably, Dexter’s Laboratory or PowerPuff Girls.

Tier 6 — preschool stuff: Sesame Street, Bluey, Dora, Caillou, Barney, VeggieTales, Thomas the Train, and arguably, Arthur/WordGirl/Wild Kratts (those three might be a little closer to Tier 5.5).
