Now the crazy Left has come out against beautiful women,” Cruz wrote alongside a New York Post article about the campaign. “I’m sure that will poll well." He doubled down on his remarks while appearing on Fox News in a segment that aired later on Tuesday, using the Sweeney as an example of “how extreme” he feels the Democratic Party has become. “This week the Democrats have decided, with the Sydney Sweeney jeans ad, that they hate beautiful women,” he said. “That’s just a little nuts for them to say, ‘I’m sorry, we’re the Democrats. Beautiful women are no longer acceptable in our society.’” the White House’s response has only fueled conversations about Sydney and the divisive campaign. The latest reactions online are pretty intense, with people highlighting that it hasn’t exactly made the situation any better, and it’s also not a good look for Sydney to have the Trump administration aligning itself with her. Meanwhile, others expressed confusion and disbelief that the White House took the time to address the discourse, asking, “do you not have a country to run?” Sweeney nor American Eagle has responded to the criticism over the campaign. Cruz, however, is among a growing number of conservatives, including White House Communications Director Steven Cheung and former Fox News host Megyn Kelly, in defending the ads. Whenever the right-wing wants to pick on the liberals, they always choose the extremists to pick-on, and it's only fringe extremist wacko's who are conflating Sweeney's initials with being a Nazi.

The real issue is intent; does the ad specifically try to tie or imply race and eugenics to promote their product as superior? And, since the model is a beautiful, blue-eyed blonde white girl with a little German in her, the extremists went crazy. So now there's additional talking points about why an ad like that would never feature anyone OTHER than a white, Aryan looking female, and why you'd never see Rihanna, or Beyoncé or Shakira in an ad like that.

My point is, as soon as one extremist side says a thing, the other extremist side counters. It's not the flex Conservatives think it is when Ted Cruz, JD Vance, or FEN (Fox Entertainment Network) gets behind something. The question remains - what is the intent behind the ad, and does the ad itself prove its intent? I realize that wherever you end up, it involves critical analysis, which eliminates at least half the people who viewed the ad in the first place.

All this controversy over this ad is so silly. People who say that the leftists who complain about this ad hate attractive women are leaving out a crucial detail. To them, there are no good or bad genes, even the objectively bad ones like the increased risk of a certain disease or cancer.
