Hampshire College has announced that no flags, US or otherwise, will fly over campus for the time being. "Our goal is to give voice to the range of viewpoints on campus across cultures, and hopefully find common ground," a college spokesman stated. "We've heard from members of our community that, for them and for many in our country, the flag is a powerful symbol of fear they've felt all their lives because they grew up as people of color, never feeling safe."

Really? Isn't that a horrible insult to black Americans?

In the past two weeks, there were Trump protests in scores of major cities. Clinton supporters and college kids literally have been crying and using words like "scared," "sad," and "shocked."

Dozens of Cornell students gathered for a "cry-in" to mourn the election results. At Tufts University, arts and crafts were made available for students to decompress and relieve their post-election stress. At The University of Michigan, Play-Doh was provided for the college kids to pound and mush around.

Isn't Play Doh something that you stopped playing with around second grade? Is anyone embarrassed for their generation?
On Capitol Hill, the election was so stressful for Democratic staffers, that therapy dogs were brought in for people to play with. If they can't handle the stress of losing an election, perhaps they should not be in positions which have so much responsibility!

Does anyone think that the left is being histrionic and manipulative with this pathetic display of "anguish" and that they are not really interested in trying to end the divisiveness about which they have complained? Conservatives have NEVER behaved like this. . . NEVER! Why should anyone respect the left if this is how it responds to defeat? Please don't bother to lecture me about the right to protest; I do not claim otherwise. Having the right to do something doesn't make it the right thing to do!

I’m thinking of telling her how I feel and asking if she wants to get dinner or a drink.

Lots of times, I definitely think she’s into me. My best friend who is a girl thinks she’s totally into me. That friend told the girl I’m interested in that she liked me, and she was adamant against her telling me and since then they’ve had a bad relationship.

The girl I like is pretty flirty, she sits next to me in meetings and jokes and picks on me. We Snapchat a lot (less recently) and text all thr time, though a lot of that is Student Senate related. When were going to a meeting or class, she always asks if I want to walk with her or if I need a ride. Lately, I’ve been going to her house and talking with her about jobs, what to do after college, whether to go to law school, and just life. One time at lunch with out mutual friend, she asked me if I’d hold her hand at the store, and I laughed (thinking joke) but she seemed genuinely sad. The members of Student Senate think there is something going on between us.

Last spring at a huge school party day, she came into my room and begged me to take shots. I did, but there she asked why my friend hated her and said that she did not like me more than a friend if that was the problem. But, she says she doesn’t remember anything from that night. Also, she frequently has invited me to drink with her friends.

This past week her, our mutual friend and some other went to a bar after a big gala on campus. I sent her a snap of me in my tux and she said “daaannng boooiii.” At the bar we had a blast, and talked a lot and flirted a bit. Her friends asked me to get her to do a particular dance, and I took that to mean she might be into me if she’d do it for me. That Sunday, I went over and talked to her for a bit. After I left, she told me she tried to set me up with this “really pretty” girl but she was engaged at the bar. My friend told me she was probably looking to see how I’d respond. Thoughts?
