It's His birthday. He was raised and educated to believe he was on a mission to save people, his name means "Yahweh saves". He gave a solution to what ailes us.

He reached out to the poor of spirit, broken down, discarded humans, giving them an "out" for the sick state of emotions dominating society: shame, fear, murder, guilt, which was oppressing them. He didn't reach out to those in power so much.

He gave care to those who were discarded in society. Not everything is that persons fault... society and circumstances can send anyone to the "gutters" of life, or the gutters inside their own hearts... living out of hurt emotions.

Jesus demonstrated love and compassion for those who were sick physically and emotionally. He gave them security that death does not separate them from that love so they no longer fear the path out of a painful and frightening existence. By giving hope in an afterlife, he gave them hope in this life, so they can more fully live. He resolved the separation issue in humans.

A message for the weak minded? Maybe, but it seems many are oppressed by the lower emotions.

But did he waste his time?

Is it a good message?

Is the offer made unnecessary by science?
