Guy: “I’m glad you mentioned it actually - I was going to ask you how you felt. Tbh, I’d find it difficult to just be friends with someone who I find attractive and I find you attractive. I do find I have to get to know someone over a month or 2 before I can take things to a more intimate level though.

4 months later guy likes an instagram post by the girl. Girl then likes one of his holiday posts a week later. Couple of weeks later she posts a story of herself with her niece and he says “Very cute. Your niece?” She replies “Thanks :) yes my little niece.”

So like I’m a guy and my impresion was “who gives a f*ck, you’re no longer with him anymore”.

I just don’t understand why women can’t just let go and forget about the past.

There’s nothing you can do to change it.

In life you should only move forwards and never look backwards.

Nevermind that one of her other exes cheated on her THREE TIMES and she kept coming back to the dude.

So I’m starting to reconsider whether or not she’s actually worth dating.

This is a girl who doesn’t quite seem mentally sound or stable. It’s common sense not to return to somebody if they’ve already broken your trust.

Because as nice as she is, this girl brings out a hell of unneccessary drama in my opinion.

And I genuinely don’t think I’m willing or capable to deal with any of it.

But then again, perhaps more women are like this than I previously thought.

Either way I can’t understand why she is still emotionally tied to people in her past, because I’ve since forgotten about everyone in my hometown ever since I went off to college.

So as it currently stands my relationship with her has just been “scratching along the surface” if you will.

We’ve been meeting regularly a couple of times a week but so far as relationship status goes its been exclusive but unofficial.

So as strange as it is, my impression of her has changed in the past 24 hours.

Before I thought she was just this friendly outgoing girl who gets along nicely with everybody, but now I’m realizing she could turn out to be a real piece of work I don’t want to get involved with. We have a lot in common and share the same interests, and I thought our personality differences compliment eachother nicely, but now I’m questioning whether or not this could ever possibly work

Either way I’ve decided to give things some more time and let it play out.

I might have to deal with her sometimes when I don’t want to, but I guess that’s the cost of a relationship.

Kind of a part 2 to this question.

We were discussing why men hate being Friendzoned, and why some women don't understand why men hate being Friendzoned and why it IS a "consolation prize." Here is everything that I said before in the other question:

"[A friendship] has to be organic. Men and women see friendships/relationships differently. Most men will separate friendships and relationships. Men will have their guy friends social circle, and their one woman who they date/marry at home.

Most men won't want friendships with women]because chances are very high that nothing will eventually "develop," and his feelings of infatuation won't just 'go away.' IF he has a female friend, he won't EVER try to ask her out or turn her into a girlfriend. Men do not ever cross that line. While women sometimes do sometimes turn friends into lovers.

Men don't want to "just be friends" with women they romantically like. Not now, not EVER. Men who say otherwise are just simps and orbiters who can't admit it. But they are. Men will usually equate being a partner as much higher status than a 'friend,' with a 'friend' being low-value, easily replaceable, and ultimately meaningless in that person (the woman's) life.

So if a woman rejects a man's romantic advances and asks to 'just be friends,' to some of those men, that means she just told that man that she thinks of him as inferior or unworthy of her. This is also why SOME men lash out and get angry. Those issues are all on them though, not the woman."
