Search Results: define asking out

So today a Caucasian friend of mine was asking me if I could possibly set him up with any of my Asian girlfriends and then tells me that he's going through a "yellow fever" phase. I usually let these remarks slide but I was a bit offput in the way he said it that I called him out on it and said, "just as I'm not yellow, you're not white... last time I checked, you're skin tone dosen't resemble the colour of printer paper!"

So just out of curiosity, do you prefer coloured terms such as, "black/white/yellow..." or prefer someone actually stating your race, such as "African/Caucasian/Asian..."?

I met a wonderful guy about three months ago! There were instant sparks, and we've chatted by text constantly ever since and see eachother once or twice a week. It took three or four dates, but he finally kissed me, and things are going great. We often go on dates and then come back to my place to watch movies and hang out. Throughout our dates, he's met my coworkers and housemates, but is kind of shy around them. I've met a few of his friends too, his dog as well as his brother. He talks about how I should hang out with his mom to do things, or dates we'll go on in weeks/months etc.


TL; DR - things are great, and they feel awesome, but we haven't put a label on it. I made the moves for asking him out the first time, and the first kiss... do I have to be the one to define the relationship? If so, how? Any tips and tricks would be VERY much appreciated! xxo
