Search Results: should my child get my last name

What would you do if your SO called you by their ex's name out of anger? This woman was a whore--to put it mildly. She thought she was 'all that', had multiple tattoos and allowed many 'professional' photographers fuck her and ended up pregnant with another man's child while married to him. She took their only child with her and he hasn't seen his daughter since. We had a very minor disagreement about work and the next thing I know it had escalated to him shouting at me in her name. I was mortified and beyond disgusted and pissed. I've never stepped out on him , and have felt extremely uncomfortable being around other men! We've been together for two years, he's never done that before! I haven't let him touch me since. I'm on the fence about how to deal with this, I've sensed for months that he sees her 'in me' though we have very different backgrounds and personalities. We absolutely do have similar facial features, (nearly) same color hair, eyes, mouth (of weak Irish Heritage, could almost be sisters if you didn't know better). He swears he doesn't, that I'm nothing like her, yet he jumps on my case for things that make no sense to me and then, after two years, last night we were having an argument about a work project, when he insulted me for not realizing he was the authority on the subject, then yelled at me in her name. I haven't slept in the bed with him since and won't let him touch me, or given in to his flirts. I don't know if I can get past this, it's been two years we've been together now, and we've promised to always have one anothers back but the last few months have been unbearable, all in her name. I'm so furious and hurt I can't see straight, much less think about being affectionate with him.

This is going to sound petty and shallow and it is but just trust me that it's something to think about lol

I'm spending Christmas Day with my fiance's family as per usual. Only this year we're engaged whereas in years past we were just dating.

He has a niece and a nephew that will be there and they're 3 and 5 months, respectively.

I know it won't matter to the kids, but I'm unsure how to sign the gifts I got for them. Plus he wants to put his name on the presents I got them. So it'll either be Aunt Alex and Uncle Jason or Alex and Uncle Jason.

His family tends to read into things a bit so I don't want to misstep haha - this has lead me to overthinking a lot of things with regard to them over the last 5 years haha :p

Anyway... his sister, upon news of our engagement, sent me a picture her 3 year old had drawn and had written on it, "To Aunt Alex" and so that leads me to think she's started referring to me as her daughter's Aunt.

I haven't met the nephew yet - this will be the first time my fiance and I are seeing him. My parents seem to think that I should just put my name since we're not married yet so I'm not their aunt yet. He seems to think I should put "Aunt Alex" instead since they will always know me as their aunt.

Settle the debate.

In all honesty I am aware that the children will likely not ever remember me not being their aunt and will not remember this Christmas at all. But this is more so about whether or not his family will freak out. They're a tight bunch to get into and the parents have made it abundantly clear that until I have their last name I'm not "real" family. So labeling myself as Aunt might come across as overstepping?

At the same time, they're also the type who, if they feel the other way, would make a giant deal of me NOT putting "aunt" in front of my name.

Basically if I don't get it right I run the risk of them making a deal of it haha

So... which is the most acceptable?
