So I'm trying to help a friend - who is having some serious issues (lost job, etc.) - but I'm also getting tired of their behavior. They will text me something, such as asking how I am, and when I respond they don't respond. When I ask how they are, they don't respond.

This is someone who has asked me for finanical help & potential help with housing - things I can help with due to my career & professional connections - but in many ways it feels our "relation" is one-sided more than anything.

And I'm getting tired of putting in effort to half assed to even no response. Particularly when this isn't the first time this person has acted like this (poor communication, etc.).

So I started dating this guy. We've really only gone for coffee nothing sexual. I find that he's quite passive aggressive and not necessarily open in his communication.

I don't like passive aggressive people or people that aren't good communicators. Yes I get not everyone is a good communicator but if you're not going to communicate stuff don't turn around and blame another person as this guy is done for not understanding what's going on or getting confused and frustrated.

I have kept seeing him simply for the fact that the potential benefits, like we have similar interests we have similar mentality similar upbringing, could potentially outweigh the communication Style. Maybe he needs a little work.

Anyway last night he said that he had to work late. That doesn't make any sense because in his job the only time he works late is when it is an emergency situation. But what it sounded like was just casual everyday work and that usually ends at 5:00 or 6:00... 7:00 at the latest.

He was still out until around 11:30 cuz he text me saying he was going home.

Anyway this morning I found out his Communications style has changed it's a little more standoffish and not as engaging as usual. Like I said he already had ticks against him that in my mind were quite severe/ this passive aggressiveness and lack of communication.

But I don't know if I should reach out as usual communication or if that will come across as desperate or just you know wait and see what he does
