I think the bone structure and everything is so different for people who can model and who are photogenic. My guy friend is a model and I have to say that in real life, he looks very gaunt but in pictures, he looks pretty good so I don't know what the deal with that is lol. I look good in photos as well but I'm not super skinny. It just means though, my friend looks good in different angled photo shoots and where as me, idk. I'm ok I guess lol. he's more photogenic than me

Yes, I take terrible pictures. My problem is that I over-think it. When people take pictures of me when I don't realize it, my pictures are fine. But if I'm waiting for someone to take my picture, I start thinking about how I'm supposed to pose and try to force a smile--it's just not natural.

yea its a possibility. I say practice, put one leg in front of the other and turn at an angle and smile Naturally. try not to use too much flash- it captures undereye circles. so wear light makeup if that's the case. putting your hands on your hips makes you appear slimmer as well.

Most people are not photogenic because the camera, unlike our eyes (which are 3-D), are 2-Dimensional. Therefore it flattens all of the features on our faces and distorts our appearances. This is why there are relatively few top earning professional print models.

Certainly, but it depends on the photographer and their experience. Anyone can make a picture look less than the real thing.

definatly! haha its hard to get a picture that captures ur face in a way that makes it look as it does in person. I've seen rly pretty girls that do not look good in pictures...its based on your face structure and lighting of the area...cameraa can make a difference too.

Yeh defo! I don't look anywhere near as good in pictures as I do in real life-sometimes I look totally different. I'd rather that than the other way round though! lol.

light does funny things to people and so do lenses. I've seen plenty of drop-dead gorgeous girls look like trolls in photographs and I've also seen 18-year olds look like they're 45 in pictures.

I think it depends on what you think of you. Personally, I think I look better in person rather than a photo. Obviously, that can catch you at your worst.

Yes it's possible. I had a friend that was gorgeous yet could not take a decent looking picture for the life of him. It was very odd.
