But in my personal opinion, it is a massive age gap. Both of you are at completely different stages in your life. You've just exited adolescence and he is well above the time to get married and start a family. You're in college so are you really ready for that? Just try looking into the future. Do you see different paths?

I think its fine. If you was still in high school (like me, hehe) and asked if a ten year difference was that bad I would say yeah.

But the thing is at college there is people of all different ages. Once college comes I don't think there should be an age limit (unless your going after someone in high school, that's just weird).

If I knew a 29 year old guy who was dating a 19 year old girl, I'd think the guy was a loser who was frightened of women his own age, and who got a naive girl.

19 to 29 is a HUGE difference in maturity. 29 to 39? I wouldn't blink. But 19 to 29 is a big age difference to me.

Then the question has to be asked as to what is ok? Is 19 and 25 ok? If it is, what makes the difference between 25 and 26?

Once you start drawing arbitrary lines you start to see how arbitrary they really are.

In a way I agree with you, but at the same time I really think it depends on the people involved.

But I don't know the asker or her guy, so it's a hypothetical to me. And a hypothetical 19 and 29 year old are a bit too different to me.

every girl that asks for peoples opinion on them dating someone older always starts off by saying "I'm very mature for my age" in hopes that people will think " oh well if she's very mature then I guess its ok" but no.
