Why do people get angry when they are scared?

I don't mean "boo!" I mean, real fear. Probably more along the lines of afraid to show vulnerability. Some of us get scared and start getting angry with others.

Its a version of the psychological reaction fight or flight - When something happens the body gets a huge surge of andrenaline to protect itself and the mind decides to fight or flee but if it feels it has nowhere to run it will probably lash out in fear (unfocused rage)

As far as I know it is a totally natural phenomeon - Seems logical to me for the body and mind to react that way when flight option taken away - What is the saying nothing fiercer than a cornered rat.

When you're scared or stressed your brain prepares for fight or flight. And some people are always on fight and when you're ready to fight then you don't have doubt on your mind. The bravest person is not the one who has no fear, but the one who can overcome their fear.

I think it's a defense mechanism. You can accomplish more by being angry than you will by being scared when in a dangerous situation.

For some people, triggering something that makes them anxious. Just about everyone has "triggers"

I know it is. I always wondered why my mom yelled at me when she was worried. I thought it made more sense that she might express that she was worried instead, but that comes later.
