Are all shy people scary when they're angry?

I'm 20 and very very shy. I smile a lot and people always notice that about me. I'm pretty even keeled most of the time, but when someone does something that really makes me angry, I slowly start to lose my cool in a very quiet way. My heart races and I my hands get a little shaky. I've been told I have a "death stare" when I look at someone who has just said something rude to me. Once a guy made fun of me for being quiet, so I looked at him with said "death stare" and he never made fun of me again. I found out over a year later that he told people I told him to "f*ck off" when really I didn't actually say anything. One of my friends did something to really hurt me and once I'd had time to cool off, he told me I'm really scary when I'm angry. And that's not first time someone has said this to me.

I'm not a fan of conflict and that's just a part of my personality, so I don't like to make situations worse than they are. I'm also really nice to people and at times, I get walked over because of it. I tend to bottle things up and I guess I release them through my facial expressions.

Is anyone else like this? (Shy people, in particular) Is this how you react to things that make you angry? Or is it just me?
