First off, I gotta tell you that I'm Asian, but that doesn't mean I don't worry for my white sisters. Anyway there is this term called 'missing white woman' syndrome, and it's termed so because of trends that even brand it into an expectation of society. I think that you are most targeted because you appeal to all races of men. I've read instances where blonde women seem to be main targets in other countries of the world like in some of the South American or Middle Eastern kind of countries.

So, knowing that you are targets, I suggest you to have precautionary measures and don't take your presence for granted if you know what I mean. If you are REALLY freaked out when travelling to a foreign country, I would suggest you to camouflage yourself (especially your light hair).

Also if it was me, I would definitely avoid going to bars.

If you have male friends or first dates, how you carry yourself can influence your overall impression. If you carry yourself like a respectable, assertive woman who can carry see eye to eye with a man , maybe that would be enough to deter a man from seeing you otherwise. Most of all just don't go running around like bait unless if you wanted the attention, because if you do, you WILL be treated like bait in my opinion.

That said if any female have stories to tell when they were somehow led on by a man they ran into say at a bar or whatever feel free to share. Or any of your views on this question (okay I guess it really isn't a question but a statement) or other experiences you'd like to share.

It has nothing to do with your race. If it's being kidnapped into a prostitution ring, it''s about what brings the most money - and that is healthy/attractive/sexy women. Dressing conservatively, traveling with a man, behaving modestly and not drinking will probably curtail your changes of something like happening at all, if you are an attractive woman. And if you aren't, well, there's nothing to worry about anyway!

-I don't think you even know how a man thinks, if this is the impression you get of men. To say this you are assuming that looks are not triggers for men, but just simply having a vagina. I mean , a man EVEN has a hole but that doesn't mean another man is going to 'rape' him just because he has a hole that a penis can be inserted into. This is an extreme case I am making but I DO think attractiveness is a factor as well.

I think any woman is at risk of being abducted. Unfortunately I've been targeted by creepy men of different races while traveling as well, in Central America, Europe etc. by creepy european, black, hispanic, middle eastern men. Men just kidnap/follow women in general I've noticed. All women need to be aware of this.
