Should I add him to Facebook IF he told me to?

OK so first of all I'm kind of 'old fashioned' in the way that I believe if a guy is interested he will put the effort into contacting and getting to know a girl. They prefer to do the chasing, and if you chase them they may be flattered at first, but then will quickly lose interest.

So I met this guy this weekend in a town a few hours from mine (partying with my promoter and dj friends) We hit it off and go to the 'after party' together. We basically end up spending the whole night and part of the next day together. We didn't get a ton of time alone (maybe just over an hour), but we did talk a fair bit. I tell him I'm moving to a city in another province, and then I find out he only lives an hour away from there. He said we should meet up when I get there and he gave me his last name and asked if I would add him to Facebook so we could be 'Facebook friends' (dunno if that means anything 'weird'). I jokingly said 'Well maybe...' and he said 'Oh please do! Don't be like that' Well when he leaves he gets my number because he wanted to make sure I got home safe (he did text me later and ask). He also asked for my last name. So now I'm wondering should I add him to Facebook because he asked me to in the first place? Or should I wait for him, because if he's interested he will do it anyway regardless?

OK I sent him a request and a quick note saying since he asked me I figured I should be reliable and 'keep my word'. I'll see if he accepts or was just having me on.
