Are cornrows ugly?

So in middle school ( when my mom did my hair) I'd always wear my hair in French braids. High school I started styling my hair and doing a whole bunch of other hair styles with my hair. Yup, this is how I'd wear my hair in high school. Is this ugly?

They can look unattractive but that is the same with any hairstyle. So long as it suits you and the look you're going for then you'll be alright.

It's trash because those who do it are often garbage human beings. (of all colors)
It looks cheap and those who have them usually live up to that stereotype.
