Yes. I think women have bought into this belief that sex without emotion is cool and something is wrong with them if they don't want that. There is nothing wrong with being abstinent and taking whatever time it takes to meet someone you connect with rather than sell your soul with a random meaningless hookup.

That is really admirable, although it seems like very very few women really go against this new cultural norm.... unless they were brought up in ultra religious homes. maybe I'm wrong but that's what it seems like to me

I am of a different generation that did not believe in hookups. Girls that hooked up were labeled sluts. The only difference now is that there is a confusing message that girls can hookup or do FWB and it is okay, but they still get called a slut when the mood suits someone in their life to do so. I had a girlfriend who tried to encourage me to have casual sex, and we are in our 40's, not exactly school girls. But I saw her try and hide her hookups and judge others.

Ok so, I for one HATE this. I think it's disgusting, it spreads STDS and it literally is ruining relationships. I say this, because I've dated men who have been part of the hookup culture, and they literally have 6 times as many notches as I do, and I never really got over that, hence "datED". I believe in being classy, I mean, Im not a prude and I like sex, I just have enough self restraint that I'm not about to fuck the first guy who shows interest in me. Conclusion: Hate the hookup culture it's just a bunch of diseased people spreading their sickness. Have some self worth...

yess, I know I dislike it. I refuse to hook up with a guy I know doesn't like me or respect me, or one that is just trying to get some.

personally, I only hook up with guys I'm in a relationship, or one's that I know I'm on the verge of being a relationship with.

yes, there are some girls out there that hate the hookup culture... but they are hard to find cause you probably won't see too many of them at clubs and bars... which just happens be the place most people today go to look for partners...

Not really. I've met plenty of women that want commitment and to be "moral" with sex once they get old, but I haven't met that many that have carried those values for a lifetime
