What does it mean when a guy calls you young lady?

So I was at the gym earlier and then this guy who was white said "Can I show you something young lady" he wanted to give me tips on working out. And he's 35 so it's like kinda odd.

Young Lady, to me, is a sign that he's not hitting on you (if he was he might likely say, hey babe your looking like an angel from heaven, can I show you something or some corny pick up line like that), he just wants to share with someone younger, his experiences in working out, what works, what doesn't etc. As long as he's not being obnoxious (young lady already shows respect) or putting his arm around you as he discusses things then I'd take it as a nice older man who wants to express his knowledge to someone younger like yourself.

He has to call you something. Miss would have been preferred. Young lady seems to be used among older people frequently cos they lived through 60's 🤙🏻🤤😂. Different times, diff strokes.
