The thing is cultural appropriation when it comes to African-Americans was not even possible anyway. . . so if isn't possible for AAs, it isn't possible for "White" Americans.

I don't know why people think this is a legit argument. The only culture that I see being ripped off in America is American Indian Culture (s). Everyone else doesn't have a leg to stand on. We all "Americans". And if we are even halfway objective about it, we all participate in the same culture.

Neither is any African deity, but people would be pissed off if a movie was made and one was portrayed as White. Thor is a figment of a Nordic religion, but it was fine to portray a Valkyrie as Black. Also, Santa Claus is a Nordic invention based off a real bishop in Turkey. This is Turkey before it was conquered by Arabs and some color was injected into the gene pool.

The funny thing is that none of this even matters coming from either side, what really matters is who started this argument and why. The initiator was the democrat politicians/media/academia, & the reason is to create widespread division. They would rather have you at each other’s throat‘s instead of joining together to keep them in check. They can then gain more power through miss use of authority while you argue over irrelevant topics that they themselves fabricated. Then as soon as that argument become stale and the trend fades, they throw out some new divisive topic to keep the people at odds with each other. Hate is the only thing that keeps Democrats seated in washington, it’s the very reason they call their opponents racist (with no proof only speculation, while even blaming their own past & current actions on their opponents) so that minorities are either afraid, unsure, or too angry to vote for those opponents while the whole time they are the ones who are pulling the strings. Ask yourselves if they control approximately 90% of the media, if they run approximately 95% of the colleges, if they control the government AT LEAST 80% of the time, then how can they rightfully blame others when things aren’t working? The same question applies to the problems in black communities that lie within democrat cities, even if the cities happen to be in republican states those Democrat cities don’t have republican policies that’s just an excuse to cast blame. All Democrats want is for people to hate each other they don’t want anything done because if there’s peace they are no longer needed therefore they are all talk. How else would they blame nothing getting done on their opponents as well as redirecting peoples anger about it towards hate for their opponents gaining them votes?

Cultural appropriation is a rabbit hole of silliness. I'm white. How rationally does that give me a claim to what Galileo or Michelangelo or Tesla or Edison or any of the great classical composers, etc. did? I'm a big fan of Mississippi John Hurt and Robert Johnson. If it cultural appropriation to play their music on my guitars, or is it a tribute to their greatness and contributions to music?
