Why do liberals care more about feelings than anything else?

They care too much if they are offended in any sort of way. It’s quite annoying. They place feelings over facts. This is why I’m scared for the future of the United States. They care about being offended. Why do they care so much about feelings and never worry about how to toughen up?

Look, everyone goes on about liberals being too sensitive etc. Conservatives are just as bad. What happens if you talk about white privilege? Or feminism? Or gay marriage? Conservatives get worked up and emotional (rather than arguing rationally). You have a president that literally goes into wild tweeting rages when he gets triggered.

The reality is that all people get emotional about things they believe in and are passionate about.

You seem to think that being insensitive is being tough. Well, I think it takes more strength to listen to people, show compassion, and compromise.

It's hard to generalize. I would say the vast majority of liberals care more about feelings just as the vast majority of conservatives care more about feelings. Maybe ~5% of either 'side' considers the facts, and the rest are all just doing what makes them feel good.

Anyway, just fyi, the "being offended by everything" thing is a conservative strawman. There are no facts to support the satisfying feeling you get for being on the "tough side." You are not on your 5%.
