Yes, many times. It's very unspectacular. My family owns a vacation house on the Spanish island Mallorca in the Mediterranean Sea. Close to the house, there is a really nice and long beach, where we go swimming but also for walks. I think the entire beach is something like 20 miles in total, you could really walk on forever. After about 2 hours of walking, there is a beach bar/restaurant, which is usually our destiny. We would walk and then have a late lunch there. On the way, you walk through numerous small bays and they all have a different "crowd". In the first few bays, it's almost exclusively families with little children. Further back, you get to the nude beach. My wife and I sometimes also stay there and go swimming because we're too lazy to walk further. There is not much to see though. The average age is about 75. I have also been to a nude beach in Greece once and it was pretty much the same.
In Mallorca, if you want to actually see something nice, you're better of staying in the area where the families with the little children are. There, I sometimes see young mothers sunbathing topless and one time I even saw a young woman who was completely naked.
But let's be honest, you can't stare too much anyway unless you want everyone to think of you as a creep. Back when I was a teenager, I would sometimes just look for excuses to walk back and forth (maybe I forgot a toy at the seashore and need to get it) and I would choose the way that leads me past a topless woman. I would glance quickly, get very happy, and walk back to my parents as though nothing had happened ;-).

I'm very familiar with visiting nude beaches and nude resorts. The only photos I've ever taken were of me and my friends and always avoided getting anyone not part of our group in the pic.
Generally speaking taking random pics is pretty much a no no and can get you in a bit of trouble if you are caught.

i have spent 3 months in France, clothing is optional for everyone there in summer time, and mandatory to discard on the beach as well as the parks...

nudity is a way of life there, no one pays attention to anyone of the 100's of nude sunbathing locals of all ages... culture shock is apparently the easiest way to spot tourist... bug-eyed spastic people trying not to stare, not realizing that their mouths are wide open from shock...

I agree, when I was about 9, my family went on a trip to the US. One time when we were at the beach, my little sister who was 6 at the time was running around naked and having fun. Suddenly, a police officer showed up and told my parents in a very clear and unmistakable manner that my sister must get dressed immediately, otherwise they would have to pay a very high fine. My parents were both shocked by this and also by the police officer's angry attitude, which is probably why they still remember the incident. When my dad tells the story, he always says: "it's ridiculous, she was a little child. Who on earth would consider a little child's nudity as sexual?" I think here in Europe it's just so common for people (and especially little kids) to be naked that it was a huge culture shock for them. It was like a tourist being told they're not allowed to laugh. Like "wait, what?"

Yes I have been to a few nude beaches, and no you do not take pictures.

Most people would be disappointed at a nude beach, as they are not full of gorgeous model material males and females. They are full of normal people with average bodies for their age, you see very few ripped men and women at a nude beach.

One time while visiting St. Thomas I asked a taxi driver to take us to a local beach. We didn't understand each other very much and we ended up a a nude beach. Took a little while to relax but eventually it was alright. Lots of nice people at the cabana. but cameras were a no no. Lots of pretty girls and handsome men. When we relaxed it was fine. When we went snorkeling it was curious and hot to see and bunch of butts sticking out the water.
