I haven't heard about the first case but the Madeleine McCann case seems unlikely to ever be resolved. Unfortunately, most children who disappear and aren't found within a few hours never show up alive anymore. There's this incredibly creepy rule that I hear police investigates mention sometimes... I think it goes something like "if the child hasn't been found after 24 hours, the chance of it still being alive somewhere is about 5%. After 48 hours, the chance is around 0.5%." In other words, you have VERY little time to find that kid after it disappears.
On the other hand you could rightfully argue that nobody has ever found Madeleine's corpse and I would agree that this fact is also very mysterious. So, at least theoretically, she could still be alive somewhere. After all, Natasha Kampussch eventually showed up again after approximately 9 years where she was kept in a dark basement. The difference however is that Natasha was abducted on her way to school. Madeleine on the other hand was literally snatched out of her parents' vacation house... possibly even out of her bed. In other words: Madeleine's kidnapper are assumed to have been burglars, while Natasha's kidnapper was the stereotypical psychopath with his RV parked down the road (he actually had a mini-van, not an RV). This raises the question why burglars - who are usually peaceful and only looking for money - would kidnap a little girl. And it also raises the question why Madeleine's sibling who was a baby at the time was not kidnapped. Some people came up with this hypothesis that the burglars were surprised by Madeleine who was old enough to leave her bed (because she got scared or she thought her parents had returned from the restaurant down the street). According to this hypothesis, the burglars decided to kidnap Madeleine out of fear she could be used as a witness and recognize them later. Presumably, they then sold her to some kind of human trafficking or child sex slave ring in Eastern Europe or even overseas.
Personally, I think that whole idea sounds a bit far-fetched. It sounds more like a creepy B-class horror flick than the real world. I think it's much more likely Madeleine was kidnapped, perhaps raped and killed - and the police simply hasn't found her body yet (maybe it was buried etc.).
Now that over 10 years have passed and many traces have already disappeared, it's almost impossible to solve the case.
If she's still alive somewhere, she'd have to somehow escape on her own.

McCann case has been solved, but it was the Podesta brothers, so prosecuting them is being held up and stalled for political reasons.

I've never heard about the Madeleine McCann one, but I think the JonBenét could still be solved. Her brother and father are still alive, aren't they? I have a feeling at least one of them knows who did it, maybe they'll confess on their death bed. It's such a tragedy what happened to her though. I have no idea who did it, but I feel like it was someone from the family...
Nope. It hasn't been solved by now and it's been years. It will never be solved. The death of Caylee Anthony will never be solved, either. The first few days of the investigation are most important. And in most of these unsolved cases, circumstances happened that now preclude any chance of solace.
I believe it will be. Technology is always progressing and the cold case expert in the British metropolitan police is in charge of it. They’re pretty relentless until they find out one way or another what happened. My thoughts are with Maddie and her family, and all other missing children though.
They have both gone on for too long for there to be a realistic possibility of a solution, unless the perpetrators make some kind of fundamental mistake.

Probably not, but to be honest for Madeleine, I hope she's dead to be honest and not been abused/a prisoner all this time. It seems that being dead is a better option than years of abuse and torture :/ but either way, both cases are shocking
I'm afraid not, it's been too long. All valuable info will already have been explored and investigated :-(
Good chance the corpses were berried in a sectet place without leaving many traces.Well I hope so because those are 2 adorable girls and they should have lived there life and no one should have ever never ever lay a hand on them at all
RIPI hope so. Those kiddos deserve justice at the very least. I would rather they would have had a chance to grow up but since that's not possible I want the animals who did this to burn and I would volunteer to light the match.
Sadly, I don't think so. Wish they would, but too many mistakes were made from the beginning in both cases. Rest In Peace Sweet Angels 💝💖💜💙
It would be nice for the families to have closure on these cases but I don’t think either case will ever be solved now
Probably not. My mother thinks that her mother did it.
I don’t think the Ramsey case will be never heard of the other one
If forensic science become more trustful and exact, some cases might solve. Sadly as time goes by the evidences will reduce (dissapear, get contaminated).
Those cases will never be solved. There’s practically no chance of them ever being found.
Probably not, it's been too long and both cases came to a dead end.
Hard to say. New forensic technology is always coming out, so even cold cases that are decades old can be solved one day.
I hope so , technology has come along way but unfortunately ppl’s moral are going back further to the stone ages , I hope this girl’s case can be resolved with the appropriate evidence.
I doubt it, the more years go by the less people remember from back then, so many suspects but no real evidence unfortunately
Probably not in time to bring the perpetrators to court.. But a lot of people have a good idea who are responsible another thing proving it!!!
Both cases didn't achieve much and currently they stuck and it been such a long time that possiblity of them being dead is now likely.
Nah, they won't get solved any time soon. They should have got the BAU in for both cases.
Simples...I hope so, but it's unlikely. I think there's some powerful people behind that odd crimes.
Probably not. I hope they aren't suffering.
cute kids but i have no idea
