Girls, romance: Good vs Mushy

What sort of things do you girls consider romantic vs those that are plain mushy? My girlfriend says she's not into mushy romance, but I don't know what that might entail and I sure as hell don't want to have some of my projects backfire on me.

Romance is pretty much anything you do for someone to show them you love them and are thinking about them. It doesn't have to be the typical romantic things that you see on movies or whatever. It could be practical things, like making her dinner or washing her car.

When I bought myself an xbox, my (now ex) boyfriend modded it for me and suprised me by putting a hello kitty background on it (I love HK). That was romantic because it showed that he cares about me and wanted to do something to show me.

Just do nice things for her that show her you love and appreciate her.

Mushy is usually way too cutesy. Think handmade pink cards with frills or wearing matching promise rings.

Every girl appreciates a bouquet of roses once in a while.
