Why do girls like romance stories so much?

It depends on what you mean by "romance". There is real romance, there is fantasy to feed the ego romance, and then there is just flat out lust/sex/erotica <-- This have 0 to do with romance it's toxic and basically porn.

We overall don't just like it, we WANT it. Why? Because men in the real world, at least most don't even come close to these guys (some of fictional) in these books, or other forms of media. And omail find it sad. We would rather be with those guys or marry them than guys today who act horny, lust, is porn addicted, watches it, masturbates, don't give a you know what, mistreat abuse, etc. Hardly any Godly men nowadays. Guys who aren't only just your friend but actually know how to romance a woman. Every woman wants that in a guy. I don't care what she says, she does. That's why she turns to it. Because such men ar snow rare. They're less than 0.5% rare. And any woman and girl is going to snatch them up because theu don't not want the typical modern guys. Just like most of you watch hentai and other sgmtjff and want unrealistic females? Well it's the same thing for us. Just that most of us do have realistic standards in the qualities of men. But the majority sadly care too much on the looks departments and it hurts their chances of finding real quality mates.

Which leads me to the fantasy romance. And no, I am not talkin about where there are Knights, dragons, Etc kind of fantasy Adventure Romance. I'm actually talking about the romance that a lot of people have of today. Where they think the guy has to have blonde hair, blue eyes, rich, a lot for body to want to have sex with, etcetera kind of Romance. These are the kind of things that are filling up in women's heads nowadays, and they try to emulate that by looking for that in guys like you, and when they don't see it, then they move on to the next guy who's similar.

And obviously you already know about that erotica nonsense. Enough said.

Other than that, it just helps us to drown the reality of what men have become nowadays. And it needs too much disappointment. It doesn't mean that we cannot accept the fact of how men are today. But the fact that the kind of guys that we wish that would actually be that kind of man they don't want to be that man for us basically. This is why technically women are never really happy, and why a lot of men don't seem to understand us. It's not all the time that we are the problem. It's just that a lot of men and not providing that anymore. And we just accept the reality for what it is. But that doesn't mean we actually want to live in it. We just participate because we have no choice. But one thing I can say for a fact, if we had it any other way, where we can get out of this world just to be with those kind of guy, you will see most of these women will immediately eject from this world. Just truth.

Because they like to watch and imagine that they are female in these stories. They want imagine being romanced and fucked by the handsome superman hero in the story. My ex-wife got hot and heavy on the TV show " Sex and the City" and the damn Kardashians bullshit right before she left me. These romance stories ain;t the best things for a marriage.
