Girls; Would hurting a guy bother you?

My girlfriend and I are both into martial arts and we had a disagreement the other night...

Basically, I have a general perception that girls are nice, soft & caring and would never choose to, or get pleasure from seeing a guy get kicked in the balls. My girlfriend thinks differently... that most girls would do it easily without any real feeling, or perhaps even find it funny!

So what I would like to ask, linking it in with our martial arts discussion, is as follows:

1. If you were in a 'no rules' mixed gender martial arts competition against a guy, would you go for the balls straight away, as a last resort, or not at all?

2. If you did choose to do that, would you do it as hard as you could, or just enough to win?

3. Would you feel any guilt or concern for the guy after doing it as he rolls around screaming in agony?

4. If you were watching a competition fight and you saw that happen to a guy, would you cringe or feel concern for the guy... would you feel completely indifferent... or would you perhaps find it funny?

I would be grateful for any genuine & honest responses to these questions from girls... Thank you.

Thanks for the replies... I just wanted to ask as, apart from the girlfriend disagreement lol, I am competing in a 'no rules' style kickboxing competition against a girl and wanted to see whether girls might use that move or not... Thanks.

1) I don't know of a single girl that wouldn't aim for your balls at the first opportunity. I'm not saying that they don't exist, I just don't know of any personally.
2) As hard as I could. I am not convinced that you could kick a guy ''just enough to win'' with the adrenaline flowing and a trophy dangling in front of your eyes.
3) I would feel concern but not guilt. It was his choice to enter a no rules mixed tournament after all.
4) I would feel concern for my boyfriend or brother. I wouldn't find it funny, but i know a lot of girls that would so all in all I think that your girlfriend is bang on the money.
I don't think that girls really are all that soft and caring tbh, the difference is that our muscles tend to be weaker than men so we can't solve our problems with violence as much as you can. The result however (and I know that this is a disgusting double standard but life is full of them on both sides) is that girls have less social barriers towards hitting men as men have towards hitting women. If you are facing a woman in a fight with no cup, then the result wouldn't be a surprise is all i'm saying.
I'm curious as to if this discussion with your girlfriend has continued since.

I'm a weak, asthmatic intellectual, so I doubt I'd ever willingly fight anyone, but for the sake of discussion, I'll answer as if I had been training in martial arts.

1. I wouldn't. I wouldn't even if I knew I would lose otherwise. It's a cheap shot that would completely incapacitate my opponent with one, relatively light and easily placed, blow. I'd rather lose the fight honorably, accept that he was the better fighter at that time, and train harder for the next competition than win like that.

3. If I had, I wouldn't feel guilty, but I would be terribly disappointed in myself.

Hi... The reason for my post was because of the disagreement with my girlfriend, but also because I am into martial arts too and am competing in a 'no rules' style kick-boxing competition against a girl... So I just wanted to get an idea of whether and how a girl might do that, and how she and the audience might feel or react to it. In my book, it's just a bad move to go for the weak parts. I'd feel horrible and would not resort to it in a competition. Maybe I would in a situation where I had to defend myself against an aggressor, but not in any other context. I feel concern when I see guys get hurt this way and it makes me cringe.

I don't know if that's because I'm "soft and caring," but I wouldn't like anyone to hurt me in this kind of low way, so there's no reason I'd enjoy seeing a guy get it.

As per my question update I was competing against a girl in the final and going into the very last round I was winning on points, but I was so tired I ended up stood with my legs wide open, so she ran up and kicked me in the balls as hard as she could, right in front of my girlfriend sitting in the front row, which left me rolling around on the floor screaming in agony! Tell me If you were watching front row, how would you have reacted or felt seeing and hearing that?

It depends on the guy. I wouldn't want to hurt anyone unnecessarily unless I felt they deserved it. If he insulted me, hurt me, or attacked me then yeah I would want to do anything to inflict pain on him..but if we were just in a martial arts competition then I would fight him just enough to win but only go for the balls as a last resort. If I'm trying to win that's an obvious thing to do right? And if a guy is worried about girls being sweet and non-inflicting of pain or whatever, why would he be involved in a mixed gender martial arts competition anyway? Personally I think the idea is ridiculous because most men are stronger than women anyway, pretty much the only thing a woman has over a man is kicking him in the nuts anyway

1) I'd go for the balls straight away if I knew I was going to lose the competition, or have a dissadvantage since I'm weaker.. If I didn't go for it straight away, I'd go for it later.

2) It depends, if he's kicking my ass without any hesitation... I'd do it as hard as I could.

I guess she was desperate to win, so she did whatever she needed to win. I don't think I would have done the same, because I wouldn't ever be in the position to decide...and I'm not competitive.. but lets say for argument sake that I did, yes I'd feel bad and concerned.

On impact of the kick I screamed in shock and almost felt myself lift off the floor, and I vaguely remember the whole audience go Oooh! as I crashed to the floor in absolute agony while she celebrated her win. I am OK now though, but I hope never to have to go through that agonising experience again! If you were watching front-row, would you have cringed at first and then either felt bad for me, or found it funny? You can be honest! lol.

Awww... I wouldn't worry about that... Everyone would give a slightly different answer to almost any question depending on their mood. I agree with what you say about the YouTube thing though...
