That's a very good question. I think there is an innate power in womanhood that can never be taken away, and working together, we can accomplish incredible things. We may not be formally recognized for those things but they still happen, have always happened, on the daily.
There are rights, the free exercise of, people with more money and resources have kept oppressed people from enjoying. But at some point, compassion seems to win when people begin to fully understand what the oppression is doing to the oppressed.

Women have rights and power because they deserve it no less than men. Men are physically stronger, so if they all colectively decided to turn against women, can't say it wouldn't create any problems for us, but freedom is a pretty good incentive I think. Especially in the current state of the western world, it's hard to imagine that happening.
I'm gonna kick your ass, Gene, if it comes to that. 😎
Aristophanes wrote a play called Lysetrata in 411 B. C. E. In order to force their men to end a terrible war, they go on a sex strike. The war is soon over. Don't ever underestimate the persuasive power of pussy. There is an old expression: "If Mama 'ain't happy, nobody is happy" Women have ways to let you know they are displeased and 10,000 ways to make you miserable until you comply https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lysistrata
yes. considering the overwhelming amount of men in power it seems clear that rights afforded to women (like any minority) are at the behest of the majority in power.
if men in power opted to rescind those rights they could easily do so with a few bills and a vote

It's because of men that women here in the West have power, and the reason is very simple.
Violence, as much as we're taught to abhor it, is necessary to maintain order. All laws are back by violence, every single one. If they weren't they'd just be words and people asked to follow those rules would ask "or else what?". The answer to or else what in the end is always violence. Sure, there might be lesser punishments for certain crimes for example fines - but then again if you don't accept those lesser punishments, you don't want to go to jail and you resist arrest, men with guns and batons are gonna drag you there kicking and screaming.
Men are the ones who are the most capable of violence. Sure, women can use guns, but the majority of cops, soldiers, gun enthusiasts in general are men. They can't compete there. Nor can they compete physically.
Men should protect women, but that is the only reason they have power an rights. In places where men decide that women don't deserve rights such as certain places in the middle east, women have no power.
In the West their main source of power against men is sex as some girls have said they'd stop fucking - in some places women get raped and then stoned to death as punishment, and they're powerless to stop it. Over here, they'd be protect mostly by male police officers. That's the only reason that would work here - it would be back up by men. Men enforce laws that protect your rights.I want to be able to say no, that women got to where they are by themselves but it's not the case. Women have power because men allow it and there's one simple reason for that. Physiology. Whenever there is a dispute, humans will first try resolving it with words and then if that fails we do what any animal does to establish superiority... we fight and honestly it would be a slaughter rather than a war because even though the majority of the population is female, men have superior physiology's and we're genetically programmed to be inhumanely violent when we need to be. Luckily, we're also genetically programmed through years of evolution to keep women safe and that's why we like seeing them happy which is why we gave them rights and power in the first place.
Saying that, for the first time in human history we're seeing that women are rising by themselves from the pedestal we've given them, turning on men and even openly saying they don't need us. This is dangerous because as a direct result of this we have a group of men, just as large as feminism and growing at the same rate that believe we should take this power back which we could as easily as we gave it. Fortunately, the vast majority of women aren't these "Feminazi's" so this is still very very far off but unlike others who are responding, I think it could be a reality in the future.hi and it makes me feel like growling the first sentence is even to this day still true i feel, going back to the suffragettes, they really kicked off their campaign in 1903 and only in 1918 were women over 30 with property inheritance rights given the vote... after years and years of protesting to amazing lengths and suffering terrible traumas in prison at that time only after womens roles during the first world war in fact seemed to force the men that governed to give some rights to women. i still find it absolutely enraging and when women today do not use their vote despite even if you are not in favour of the parties likely to win you can vote to make a point... the documentary link below tells of quite a tale of what these women went through over a hundred years ago... xx
https://www.BBC.co.uk/programmes/b0b5y4zgI couldn’t imagine anything backfiring as hard as that, I can imagine an entire country of women turning against men and becoming serial killers.
But no, that couldn’t happen. Men would not be able to take away our rights because at the end of the day women have the upper hand because we already have rights, men are also obsessed with women and sex (evolutionary reasons for reproduction) so we are superior to men in that sense. Men want women, women want families. If men tried to take away our rights, we’d become violent and aggressive towards men knowing they are not superior than us. That’d remove their ability to find sex and reproduce, thus we’d have the upper hand. They’d have to reinstate our rights, but would women ever forgive men? No. I imagine women might become the dominant gender from how ruthless and callous we can be, compared to males, I doubt a lot of men these days would agree with women losing their rights too or would back out knowing women would not accept it.The massive elephant in the room is women's sexual powers.
Men want to sleep with women more than women want to sleep with men. Much more. Which creates a massive power imbalance that is rarely acknowledged.
People talk about "toxic masculinity", but the only reason these guys still exist is because women chose to mate with "toxic" men and pass on their genes. Behind every domineering asshole is a bunch of women vying for his attention.
So yeah, I think women are a hell of a lot more powerful than feminists want to admit.nope. men are not god. human rights are inalienable they can neither be granted nor taken away. you can obstruct them and get in the way, but history shows us when you get in the way of peoples human rights they get in your way and when necessary get rid of you.
people fight wars and die defending their rights. its not like confiscating property.Possibly but I think 52% of the population is female so maybe we could take away men's rights and power in a reverse handmaids tale and just use you guys for breeding, fighting wars, manual labor and opening pickle jars. I actually think a lot of guys would volunteer for that lol
Your basically describing most middle eastern countries and I don't think most men woupd stand for it.Have you seen the show "the handmaid's tail"? That is exactly the question posed in it. A totalitarian extremist group takes over the u. s. making men the only ones with power and enslaves all women into different groups for breeding, maids, cooking whatever. They aren't even allowed to read.
In an absolute anarchy, yes, men can take away the rights and put women into submission. The only equalizer would be guns but many women aren’t interested in guns. This is due to the strength of men and the ability of men to be creative thinkers, generally.
Men just beat women into submission until women started to know their own strength. It can't go back to the way it was anymore.
no women have power and rights because as human beings, we are equally deserving of these rights on par with men. To take those rights away would be barbaric
I think its something that can never be confirmed or disproven. I think if women are not holding as much political power as men and are holding less resources than men, then women are at the mercy of men's decisions regarding womens rights. Some people I think dont realize how much that factors into the freedom of any group... how much resources and political power is already existing for the said group.
Of course men could take the rights of women away. But then the United States would not be a democracy. We would be like Iran or Saudi Arabia. We would be a dictatorship.
ksassets.timeincuk.net/.../...ids-Tale-920x518.jpgI was going yo say Yes! Absolutely! But the truth is... men are just scared of the consequences that will rise if they were to take away our rights. People in general are more violent nowadays. Any group with a legit cause would happily turn homicidal in 2.5 seconds😂
If we never let women Vote they would have no power. They were granted rights because politicians wanted their votes. Look at the court system women are favored in courts because the gov still feels like they are vulnerable. Child support alimony custody and they’re given shorter jail time for the same crimes. It’s all about votes. Look at places that don’t have democratic governments or some that do. Middle East, Africa, and Asia. They don’t say shit over there because they’ll be punished, beaten or raped.
Yes and no. Men did give women the power to vote they had the power to take in away in the 1920s. now I don’t think that’s the case. If they tried there would be a shit storm agents the government from both men and women (least when it comes to the citizens) On both sides of the political spectrum most Republicans do support women’s right to vote the place you might see men wanting to get rid of that right in the south
Well, since mainly men are in power in a lot of places that has some technical truth to it.. Although there have been and are women in power.. And it would sit well, and cause all types of problems maybe even a war unless they decided to go full on dictator type ish.. Even then.. That's just like sayin Minorities have power and rights because "White" people allow it..
All depends on your view of rights. Do you believe rights are inherent? Or do you believe all rights are bestowed into you by the powers at be? Namely the government.
If your belief is category 2, then you probably believe women only have rights because men say they do. But that's also the mindset that says black people only have a right to freedom, because white people say we do. Vs is innately having the right to be free.It depends on whether they rally a group effort or not.
If women try and fight it alone. They will fall quickly.
If women try and fight back collectively. And intelligently. They could have the whole of humanity at their beckoned call within 24 hours. And no man would even have a clue.
It simply depends on what the women do in fighting back. If they strategize they can always win. But if they don't they will always lose. Simple. Not really, even tho men have more guns & physical strength, women are half our society.. plus, men aren't interested to take women's rights. I don't want a "housewife" girlfriend. Quite the opposite, I wish there were more smart and ambitious girls. Cause I want a partner I can truly connect with, instead of a babyfactory/kitchen.
We like girls. And want them to be educated and free.
You just couldn't convince the majority of men to use their strength to oppress girls. If you tell someone to make his girlfriend loose some rights by force, you're more likely to get a bullet between your eyes yourself.
So I don't think that our society could ever turn into this second grade boys vs girls be.
