Guys & girls: my boyfriend wants to get his ear pierced.

I really think now if a guy wants to get his ear pierced, he has to get BOTH of them pierced, or - no offense, it just looks, well. Gay. Thoughts?

That's the only way guys get their ears pierced where I'm from (both ears). I personally would never be able to do it because I think they look gay (any ear piercing for a guy is gay in my opinion).

But then again they have better luck with girls than I do. Is there a connection here?

No, it doesn't look gay. Being gay has nothing to do with the parts of your body that you choose to pierce. That's silly.

Depends on the piercing. I have both my lobes, my industrial, my snug. I'm thinking of getting a rook. There is definitely asymmetry with my piercings but they fit my face nicely.

I'm a guy with both my ears pierced and as you say its no big deal. My girlfriend persuaded me to get them pierced and I've never regretted it.
