whoever creates the most value.

That generally means some combination of a rare ability, and an ability to have that ability impact many people.

Farmers are “more important” than teachers. School is very helpful for kids but food is more important. But individual farmers can be replaced by other farmers so they aren’t paid that much. Neurosurgeons are important and not that many people are capable of it and on top of that not that many people are willing to work hard enough to become one. So they’re paid a lot.

Extremely successful entertainers make a lot because millions of people value their work.

The most successful entrepreneurs make billions by providing value to millions or tens of millions of people.

Teacher because they put up with a lot. They prepare us for the world. A lot of the time they are our counselor, mentor, and shoot sometimes they even provide for us.

I had a teacher who had a microwave and refrigerator in her room and had it stocked with food and water for those who didn’t have much to eat.
