But there is a more balance between Asian/Latina and white -White men much like the Asian men go for more lighter skinned and feminine features Satoshi Kanazawa a evolutionary psychologist made some interesting statements back in the days as well that pissed a lot of people off. If I remember correctly he said black women are ranked lower because men visually look for signs of fertility in the face and lighter skin makes it easier.
Here is a 2011 one which is very interesting. Women view white men as higher in status which is why the are the top pick here. Asian men are viewed as less masculine. Latino men are the unknown. Black men are still viewed as lower in status.
I don't think it's necessarily a racial thing or related so directly to skin tone. If those surveys are reasonably representative of the general population, then they correlate rather tightly with median incomes, educational attainment, incarceration rates, childhood illegitimacy rates, and obesity rates, for example. I suspect those types of things influence perceptions more than anything else.
Of course, we could get more nuanced and start analyzing cultural norms and what not, but I think that could be putting the chicken before the egg. It's like how much media representation do Asians have in the US? And how popular were they in distant history? But now they are the wealthiest and most educated racial group (on average), with the lowest incarceration rates, the lowest rates of childhood illegitimacy, the lowest rates of obesity, etc. So preferences might start shifting in that direction. I think starting with the economic overview helps explains things a lot more at the coarse level.
As another example (just anecdote but some support for my conjecture), black women are extremely popular in Japan. Every black female tourist I've seen gets loads of attention from Japanese men. But most black women who come to Japan tend to be quite educated and reasonably successful as well as fashionable and in good shape. On top of that, Japanese see lots of very famous and good-looking black women in the media like Beyonce and Rihanna. So their impressions of black women are overall very good.
Meanwhile, take Chinese in Japan. Lots of Japanese hate Chinese (unfortunately) because lots of Chinese immigrants in Japan are poor and there are also issues with crime and prostitution with some Chinese immigrants. They're still Asian with pale skin and all but many Japanese don't like them. So I don't see it as a racial thing so much.
Maybe it is true for the men who use OKCupid. I don't believe this is true overall. Try using a site like blackpeoplemeet. I am certain most "Black" males prefer "Black" females there.
But I would agree that in general sites that are culture neutral would probably skew this way.
Nope. Anything that makes the claim that White men prefer Asian women is Chinese propaganda. For example in the USA 90% of White men are dating and marrying White non Hispanic/Latino women. Of the 10% of White men that are dating & marrying inter-racially/ethnically roughly half are getting with Hispanic/Latino women, primarily because many Hispanic/Latino women are White and share the Christian religion even if there are some cultural and language differences. Then you'd have Asians at whom are about a quarter of those relationships across the entire Asian content. You have to consider that there are Russian-Asians who are Orthodox Christians, there are Christians and Jews in West Asia (Middle East), Korean Christians, and so on. Cultural compatibility based on religion likely plays some factor. There there are Indians for example who might have a socioeconomic compatibility with high earning Whites. Rather than being some sort of attraction to features of East Asians which is the narrative that is always pushed, there are likely more complex factors at play. Then it goes to mixed race women. The remaining quarter is mainly dominated by mixed women which could be half white/half Hispanic, White/Asian, light skinned White/Black mix etc. with Black women only account for a very small amount of relationships. So in reality White men are strongly attracted to White women and other women who likely share common religion and socioeconomic background who have integrated into Western society.
Black women are usually very fertile because they usually have bigger butts and wider hips which is a good sign she can get pregnant and carry healthy babies.
And what the hell skin color has to do with being fertile? Again that evolutionary psychologist is a fool and everyone who believe him is a fool too.
I never quite understand the point behind these surveys. Groups of men don't date, groups of women don't date. Individuals date, so the preferences of any given group are meaningless since the decisions are carried out at the individual level.
B... b... but black men date white women predominantly...
... or so they say.

White men rate Asian women higher than white women actually. I've seen the charts before.. I believe the 2014 was more realistic. I'd say for white men its: Asian women - 15% Latina women - 10% White women - 8% Black women - -50%
