As a Libertarian I think both of them have terrible ideas. So my vote is based off of their character.
I would never vote for either of them in an actual election but here’s my take I think Bernie Sanders is probably the most honest candidate we have in America this includes Donald Trump I will end up voting for Trump because quite frankly I don’t want socialism and you can explain to me how it’s not socialism because in my mind it’s either socialism or communism so I’m being polite.
either way I will defend Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren is a lying cow who has been lying to get ahead in her career for her entire career and quite frankly I feel bad for Bernie Sanders what the left did to him on CNN during the debates I’m still not gonna vote for the guy but congratulations CNN you made me feel bad for Bernie Sanders this just shows how much CNN sucks. Realistically I think they know this, but the biggest advantage that modern liberals have is that they don't have to pretend to follow any moral guidelines, whereas Republicans do (as we are supposed to be the more traditional, moral party). The advantage of this is that you can have women who sleep their way to the top like Kamala Harris, or even people who kill hookers like Teddy Kennedy, and nobody will bat an eye.
Still, it's strange that they've sort of contorted the world to see themselves as those fighting for what's right, which can only come from strident neo-marxist teaching at the university level.

Firstly, I would not vote for either of them because they would both take the US down a very bad road. Socialism is a failure and a path to mediocrity no matter where it exists.

Having said that, I trust Sanders much more than I trust Warren. My impression of Sanders is that he is honest and, despite his misguided policies, his heart is in the right place and he truly wants what is best for the nation. Warren, on the other hand, just strikes me as another slimy, dishonest politician whose motives are not pure. She makes my skin crawl.

I'm working on a PhD in political science, and I can tell you that Democratic Socialism is just Socialism chosen by democratic method. It doesn't make it any less Socialist by placing a "democratic" before it, anymore than would Democratic Fascism, or Democratic Communism (which is the aim of any Socialism). You may want to look at the difference between the effects of a Socialist economy, and a generous welfare state, which he wants both (the Nordic countries only have the latter, after trying the former which was an abject failure).
