Guys, do you only use smiley faces in texts or online if you're flirting/hitting on a girl?

He's right, we almost never use smiley with girl we are friends with. I'm actually in the situation he's talking, and I can assure you, I use smiley often. It kind of shows that you still have that cute and young little spirit to the girl I guess

Every guy has his own little quirk that somehow manifests itself when he's trying to flirt with a girl. Smiley faces could be one of them.

In person, I will smile more often. But through text or IM, I don't use faces in the first place. Personally I think it's ridiculous. I don't want a girl to think I have a yellow face :P See what I mean?
