How long should you get for armed robbery or armed mugging?

like if someone robbed you put the gun to ur head. put there hands in your pockets and stole your wallet and phone. how long do you think they should get for it

Well given the severity of it. Seems fair in the aspect. Threatening someones life for a few bucks and a phone. Now this person has PTSD and your a few bucks richer. Does that seem fair? Does to me given now this person is now having to live with the trauma they were put through.

I think 9 years is too soft I think 10- life should be the law. states like Alabama have laws like this

Id agree. However, imagine you were the robber. Not a typical thief driven by drugs but driven by desperation. Hypothetically, after robbing someone you hated doing the worst thing just to survive. Thoughts then?

I'm not gonna lie to u this happened to me 3 hours ago. and I felt the gun on my face and it was 2 guys. so I might be biased I'm going to press charges but I'm worried because they had my i. d in my wallet but think they should get 20 years to life. I chased after them but some random couple top me telling me about the gun. i was scared and angry
