Why is quora so leftist?

Because most of the people on Quora are a bunch of radical left wingers who can’t accept the fact that not everyone shares their views. It’s a very toxic website.

I recently deleted my quora account because I don’t like most of the people on that website and because I feel they are doing a crappy job at protecting member privacy by enforcing a “real name policy” while their website can be accessed by non members.

Which website moderators aren't biased? I would be glad to be part of that website. In initial stage website has unbiased mods. When site expand and become profitable business the advertisers rule. Mods have 2 choices : Either to follow unofficial orders of site owners to moderate community or to give up moderator status. If one choose to be unbiased they will be removed for violating simple *T&C violation*.

Although I am forced to use the terminology at times, I tend to not look at the political spectrum as Left and Right but rather as Liberty vs. Totalitarianism. Because of this, I view the USSR and Nazi Germany as much the same - totalitarian regimes run by mass murderers.

People are biased based on their preferences, likes and beliefs. It's human nature. We all see things differently.

Quora mods are biased with their views.

Well, unlike most people, I am trained to filter out my own bias. It's been something that I have been working on for 50+ years.

For me, my focus is on Nature because Nature is the ultimate dictator. It speaks in bottom lines and cannot be negotiated with. So, I study nature and all things in it. And even in my work, I have to filter out bias because people's lives are at stake in my work. If we just have opinions based on our biases, then people will die. Why? Because Nature doesn't give a shit what I think or if people die. So, we get into the habit of letting the data and the science and logic and mathematics talk. We listen and we react.

Put another way per Daniel Patrick Moynihan:
"You are entitled to your own opinion, but you are not entitled to your own facts."

When you realize that you are playing with death like I do in my work, it hyperfocuses you on taking care to be sure that you make the right decisions - no matter how much your previous biases (if any) don't like it.

Putting emphasis on nature is your way of looking at things. It's your opinion basically.

But bias is human nature. It's impossible to avoid.

For example, people perceive women and men differently in different scenarios like pedophilia or domestic violence. They say they are different as a justification for treating them differently.
