Why do liberals hate the police so much?

I'm a libertarian, not a liberal, but for me, it's because by they agree by nature of their job to enforce laws — even the unjust, immoral ones. It's easy to blame politicians and say "just change the law if you don't like it," but that 1) doesn't always work and 2) isn't the point. The tyranny of the majority gets to decide how I can and can't live my life by voting (between very limited sets of options, mind you), but the thin blue line actually enforces those arbitrary laws at gunpoint. "Just doing my job" isn't an excuse when your job is to violate people's rights. When "blue lives" are willing to lock people in cages for smoking a silly plant, defending themselves and their property, making voluntary transactions without state permission, etc., no, they don't matter. I'd be willing to discuss the problems with these laws if you'd like, but the main point in response to your question is that without cops, the people "in charge" everyone loves to complain about would have no power over us whatsoever. Many or even most cops might be good people, but for the reasons above, there are no good cops.

I don’t think police brutality is as common as people think. To put down the whole justice system in the US is stupid in my opinion. I don’t think the media tells the full story of what George Floyd, Mike Brown, Eric Garner, were doing, and the social issues, trauma, in the communities they were arrested in.

No I wouldn’t go to a protest. Canada is not neoconservative, Europe has some very left wing nations like Ukraine, Russia, but also very right wing countries like Switzerland, France, Spain, etc.

It’s part of Eastern Europe, no I wasn’t on this site yesterday. The USA is very progressive about race, immigration, more than anywhere in the western world by a far shot. NYC, and Los Angeles, are more diverse than London, Toronto, Paris, and probably less racist.

They kill black people at 3 times the rate of white people. They support a corrupt system. You have a 90% chance of getting off a cocaine charge in cali if you are white, but only 10% if you are black. The bond system is corrupt and evil. Etc. etc. Alternatives like crisis experts and mental health experts, and healthcare experts can handle 99.4% of 911 calls. Police are really only needed for 0.6% of calls.

White people are actually twice as likely to be shot by police in a non violent encounter. Blacks get shot more because they disproportionately attack police officers. That 90/10 number is made up, sloppy attempt to fool people there. It's corrupt because it frequently puts violent criminals back on the streets based on their race, like the guy who murdered a retired police officer when he had literally dozens of felonies but they gave him probation.
