The Police enforced covid mandates.

They sat outside doing nothing while kids got shot up in a school….. not once (Uvalde)…… but twice (Parkland)

And then of course they’re out here protecting draq queens grooming children in Texas from counterprotesters who are righteously angry and want to protect children from pedophilia.

Slowly but surely the Police will become another left wing institution.

Actually, that show in Texas was completely illegal; it's bad enough that they were there trying to stop protests, but they actually refused to enforce state laws banning such establishments for even having kids on the premises in the process. It's not that much of a surprise considering that the Dallas PD was run until the summer of love by an activist chief and the new guy isn't much better (if at all, things considered). I know a lot of good cops who basically jumped ship out of Dallas and went elsewhere on account of the leadership there, and it looks like the end result of that is rearing its head now.

Uvalde I could understand slipping through the cracks because it's a largely unknown town basically in the middle of nowhere and not all that surprising that a city government and its police force could become useless and corrupt, and from what I gather, the state government is going to be bringing the hammer down on it. But Dallas? If Texas can't keep one of its main cities adhering to basic laws that are supported by probably 95% or more of citizens, then the state is in serious trouble.

Sounds like you have convinced yourself of a narrative and not reality. I mean the police supposedly "serve and protect" communities, even the communities we don't like. The police were not made to be a morality compass or judge. They were created to keep things civil, even though they are not very good at it lol.

I do understand your frustration though. I can't believe the police protected the insurrection at the capital on Jan 6th, or protect the KKK when they have a protest on a courthouse steps, I mean if they are for the people then why are they protecting those that wish to hurt the people, and the reason for that is they are not a judge or jury. They are meant to keep things as civil as possible, for as long as possible.

Now, with the ever changing landscape of our society in catching up with the rest of the world, and we are playing catch up at this point, the police are going through changes. A lot of police departments are re-evaluating their core values, their upper echelon of management to figure out the perfect balance.

Your question is valid, and there are changes happening with police all around the country, but I don't think it's as one sided as you might think. Hopefully the police departments can figure out a healthy balance so no one, whether I like them or not, feels safe and protected as they should feel. Take care!!

Police was invented by to protect them from the masses in case of an uprising. Every police force is DIFFERENT. Go to a liberal city, and they're hella authoritarian, but in a conservative area of course they get down with the people. So don't confuse liberal police forces with conservative ones. That's what the media WANTS you to do.
