Why do conservatives act like they are for the police when they attacked police officers trying to stop trump occultist on jan 6th 2021?

They like it when police shoot unarmed black kids. That's what they mean by being "for police" - shooting unarmed black kids are what police are for. Police are not for stopping white conservatives from violence when they feel bigmad. If anything, their understanding was that police are there to help carry out that violence, or at least legitimize it, or if we really really really must pretend to be civil, wrap the violence in a cloak of a prison sentence. Seeing a police force actually take their oaths at face value instead of just empty words they had to mutter to get the qualified immunity they needed to legally shoot unarmed black kids is really frustrating to the narrative white conservatives tacitly tell each other.

Well, we still aren't sure if those guys were really Trump supporters, considering there were federal agents like Ray Epps there and I doubt Trump supporters would listen to anyone like him.
