I agree with the question you have, I had the same... my answer is... humans have memory and it is passed on via generations. Until there is forgiveness, resolution... keeps going. Readup on how trauma works... it programs the mind and body. That is passed on, Bible says 3 generations... We are dealing with the sum total of all human behavior, at least over a few decades.
