Are women’s rights actually women’s privileges? (Gifted kindly by men)?

More or less, in my country there are laws specifically written for women, that "purposefully" tries to favor them with the pretext of diminishing inequality, or counterbalancing the fact that women are generally physically weaker than men.
But most of these laws are either too minimal to anybody even notice, complex because they are "needed" in a certain way, depending on your perspective, or straight up harmful to women, having the opposite effect from the desired.
Some of them, in Brazil:
1) Women can stop the bus at any point during later hours, men can not, to avoid the violence on streets. But nobody cares about this "privilege", it's too insignificant.
2) When a woman is victim of homicide, especially in cases of domestic violence, the law treats it as "femicide", which aggravates the penalty for the perpetrator, supposedly this law is necessary because women make up the majority of domestic violence victims, therefore it's much more of a serious crime than if the victim was a male. This law is controversial, especially because in Brazil the judicial system is not prepared to handle male victims of domestic violence, there's a strong stigma against them.
3) Men are forced to serve in the army, but in practical terms, only the males who already want to serve end up there anyway in Brazil, because of excess of contingency, so the only hassle is that we men should give up one day of our lives to introduce ourselves to the army, nothing much.
4) Women on the workforce are more expensive generally because the law forces the company to provide special services for their female employees, the labor law is different for women. But in this case, the result is that women are harmed because companies lose the interest in hiring them.
Among other laws, these are the ones I remembered. Sorry I did not provide sources, too lazy.
And about that guy's comment you posted, he's just being an asshole, it's true that historically men make up the majority of political leaders, therefore political decisions were mainly done by men, duh.
The thing is that women were very discouraged to pursue these careers, or sometimes even BANNED! This is the thing actually with "inventions were done by men", some important universities did not accept females, in such a misogynistic environment, it's no surprise that men invented the majority of technological advancements.
But you can tell him that the first programmer was Ada Lovelace, a woman, without her, we would not have computational routines like we have today, which are very important for the internet, this asshole probably never heard about her.
Rights are not privileges. They are not granted by governments or bullies. Rights are described as self-evident, unalienable and endowed by the Creator. Those are natural rights, whether or not they are infringed upon by force.
The struggle for civil rights was an example. Black people had a right to be treated equally even if laws said otherwise. History is replete with unfair laws. Sometimes people have to demand their rights. Sometimes they have to pay for those rights in blood. That's what the American revolutionaries did against the British. Many people throughout history have rebelled against tyrants or colonial masters.
So while it's true that men are bigger and stronger than women and have the physical strength to rape, oppress and abuse them, women have a right to demand their natural rights.
I strongly support the "women's lib" movement - women's right to vote, to own property, to attend school, to have jobs, to be treated with respect, to have equal opportunity, and to make their own choices. Some bitter, militant, misandrist feminists took the success of women's lib and went way off the rails. They are loathsome. But they don't define women's rights. Men who resent women's rights are also loathsome. They don't know how to earn women's respect as real men.
To say that men "granted" rights to women in the U. S. disrespects the decades of struggle that brave women engaged in to gain those rights. It's similar to claiming that white people "granted" black people equality. In fact, it's true that many white people came to realize that the treatment of blacks under segregation was unfair and joined the struggle as allies. And many men also acknowledged the unfair treatment of women. But it still took women and blacks to stand up for themselves and call attention to the injustice.
That guy's comment is really simple-minded and unhistorical
Women are human and have systematically been deprived of equal rights in the past, not unlike racial and religious minorities. Women's rights are human right, but just a smaller sect of them. Women fought endlessly for equality throughout the 20th century. The women’s suffrage movement was a decades-long fight to win the right to vote for women in the United States. It took activists and reformers nearly 100 years to win that right, and the campaign was not easy
Bit raw dude but probably true

Lmao, what an arsehole.
There is the small matter of women have actually have been in positions of power throughout history, with a lot doing rather well.
Then you have the entire emancipation movement etc.
in the modern age it’s a basic sign of human decency that we recognise everyone’s rights.
the type of wording in the jpg, is only missing ‘men have the right to rape women when they want’
We no longer live in the 6th Century or the 18th Century.
I really feel sorry for any kids that person has, imagine a person like that as your parent….
we are humans we respect each other’s rights.
we all live on the same planet and should be encouraging greater freedoms around the world not trying to restrict them.
It is more like men do more today and have done more for society in the past. Men are more moral and function more based on principles and not on emotions. Now, this isn't to say that women aren't good at things like taking care of children. However, most modern women are even unfit for that role. Modern women are basically if you took older generations of women, removed all of the good parts, kept all of the bad parts, and then added even more bad parts. This isn't true for all women but maybe 8/10 or 9/10. As for the concept of rights, they don't really exist. I would have no desire to enslave women but a lot of rights women have they shouldn't because they didn't deserve it and even less so in their current state today.
No. Women's rights are just women's rights. Women decided they will not be second class citizens and they protested until they got their way. Most men would probably prefer women to not have rights but the women's resolve was stronger.
Thoses rights, as you say were not given to you. Thoses where took from you in the beginning. I don’t see women’s or men’s rights, I see human rights. It’s just a matter of how you want to see the world.
I think that would depend on the right you are speaking of. if they apply to all humans then it's a right.
No, they were rights women had but were deprived from by oppressive institutions by men.
If womens rights were "privileges" then wouldn't mens rights be privileges too, (gifted by women)
No because women in general are not the law maker as we’ve taken up very little space in government in comparison to men
Doesn't have to be governmental
Theyre rights. Women are human, just because they are prettier than us doesn't mean they should be denied rights!
Full of bull shit to think that.
They have to earn them
