If so what are they?
Yes:
US based
1 - right to vote without the need to sign up for the draft
2- the right to call rape rape, by US law rape involves penetration, so sexual assault by envelopment is not rape
3- The right to consent to parenthood. Woman have many options when they are pregnant, abortion (in many states), adoption, safe haven adoption, etc. A man consents to being a parent the moment he ejaculates inside of a woman even if he did not consent to the sexual act itself.
4- The right to genital integrity in infants. Regardless of how you feel about circumcision the fact stands that it is a crime to circumcise a girl and not a boy.
5- the right to a government supported domestic abuse shelter. In the US, Canada and the UK domestic abuse shelter funding is strictly gendered.
6- College Title IX protection, though the law is written gender neutral it is applied unequally.
7- The legal standard of the Duluth model of domestic violence. Though actually not codified into law, it is the training module and standard used by law enforcement, courts and domestic violence councilors that assumes that the abuser is the male partner unless there is clear evidence that it is not.
8- Though it is getting better, shared custody is still not the default in family courts. Instead we still see the tender years doctrine as the standard. This is grossly unfair to most men.
9- The right to not be assumed a sexual predator, though women have also been convicted of sexual predatory behavior. Men are not allowed to sit next to an unaccompanied minor on a plane, as an example of this.
10- Women are less likely to be stopped by law enforcement, if stopped less likely to be questioned, if questioned, less likely to be arrested, if arrested less likely to be convicted, if convicted will most likely get a lessor sentence then a man with the same circumstances.
I'm sure I missed some, I can also write about privileges men have that women don't, but that wasn't the question.
#1 - There is no draft currently in the US. Besides, most administrations prefer women to stay home and make babies so THOSE kids can grow up be cannon fodder.
#2 - I don't understand this reference. Rape has the Federal definition you mentioned. Don't all laws impart "rights"?
# 3 - Women have options remaining in certain states only, fewer and fewer in red states. Men don't consent to parenthood, they consent to "financial responsibility" in the event of a child being born from intercourse with them. I know you can contractually agree with a pregnant mom to NOT have financial responsibility, after the fact. I do NOT know if you can sign a pre-emptive agreement prior to sex that releases the man from any and all responsibility. I don't know if the "state" allows that.
#9 - As far as I can determine, a) there's no assumption that a man is guilty of being a predator until proven innocent and
b) there's no law in the US prohibiting men from sitting next to unaccompanied minors. Airlines set their own policies on this.
The court proceedings on custody do indeed favor the mom unfairly, even if the dad is financially better off. Weird when you think of that.
@loveslongnails #1 signing up for selective service is a requirement for men over the age of 18 to vote. See www.sss.gov/
Rape is defined as penetration, so forced to penetrate or rape by envelopment is not legally rape. So a woman can drug a guy, tie him down and ride him against his will and it is not legally rape. see https://www.rainn.org/articles/sexual-assault this means that women who force men to have sex with them are not raping them.
#3 what is legal parenthood by definition? Financial responsibility is the states acceptance of a man's parental duties.
#9 specifically the assumption that women are "safe" and men are "dangerous" it's both codified and an accepted form of discrimination. The fact that it's legal for the airlines to have that policy is itself a legally codified right.
I don't see what #1 has to do with "rights". It's the decision of lawmakers to NOT require women to register for the military. Are you proposing that the lack of said requirement is a privilege for women?
On rape, I read the article. As to your example, I'm not a lawyer but I'm aware that this is a very heavily debated legal question currently. It seems to be a matter of definition and how a court would interpret it. I'm not aware of any cases being used for precedent at this time. I'd be surprised if it were not argued that "forcing a man to penetrate a woman against his will" is demonstrably different than "a man forcing penetration on a woman against her will".
#3 - Again, I disagree, mostly because you're playing word games. The the best of my knowledge, NO state requires that a man partake in "parenting" a child OTHER than to make financial contributions. They are two different things.
#9 - I do not buy the codification argument, especially here. It may indeed be VERY illegal for an airline to adopt and enforce such a policy, but I do not know of anyone who's ever challenged it in court. It's also a circular argument additionally complicated by the Terms of Carriage, which is a nightmare in and of itself.
A few airlines specifically state it's "their" policy not to discriminate based on gender when it comes to seating, in any circumstances. However, if a flight attendant or pilot tells a man he has to change his seat, he's technically required to do so. If the reason is because there's a 12 year old unaccompanied minor seated next to him, he has the option to pursue legal action against the airline. If his "rights" have been violated, it will proceed through the courts.
The assertion that "only women" have the "right" to be seated next to an unaccompanied minor, is not true. I liken this to the DOJ's longstanding policy to NOT indict a sitting President for criminal activity. There is no law preventing this, but the "policy" has been to leave it to Congress to first impeach and remove the President, but there's no law requiring that. A "sitting" President does not the "right" to evade prosecution from criminal acts committed during their tenure any more than they have immunity to be prosecuted for them after their tenure. Mr. Trump is learning this.
By the way, good points, nice talk. Thanks for your take on things.
What that long nails guy fails to understand, its not just law makers, Its women in general that vote against women being in the selective service, and vote for keeping it. Its also the National organization for women, a feminist organization that actively protests and votes against equal shared parenting, and votes against including men being included in the rape definition..
5 Legal Rights Women Have That Men Don’t ↗
They also get to wear whatever the hell they want, are usually given seats on a bus or other places, tend to have doors opened for them, get physical help without asking for it, are usually ushered into a door first, are usually given the last drink or piece of food in a case where no more is available, are the first (along with children) to get a spot on a lifeboat, etc..
@loveslongnails you are a woman
@Kingofkings1992 "When you are dead, you do not know you are dead. It's only painful and difficult for others. The same applies when you are stupid." Ricky Gervais
I would say they have privileges like sometimes being prefered in schools by teachers or they are less likely to be drafted into military. Being protected by society in emergency cases. But I wouldn´t say they have more privileges than guys. It´s just that their privileges are more likely to be talked about online because in forums like this or the comment section of Youtube videos the majority of users are male. So for guys it´s easier to take their own privileges for granted and just look at the bright side of being a female thinking: Her life is so much easier than mine.
I'll have to agree with those who say it just about equals out.
We don't see any female presidents walking around, so that already means men definitely have a bit of an edge when it comes to power over women. Our limits are capped from birth. Women can fight and claw their way to the top, but people try to cap our capabilities very often. If people assume you can't do it, they often won't give you the chance to prove you can. If they are biased enough, they will ignore any proof in front of them they you are capable.
It's automatically assumed that men are capable of more, so more is expected of them. That's got to be rough too if they just want to relax their way through life.
We all have our societal expectations and restrictions that suck, and we all have advantages even if we don't want them and would rather venture into the restricted areas given to the other gender. How privileged we feel really depends on how happy we are with the roles we were born into.
When I was a kid, I HATED being a female. The role did not fit me. It was a constant barrage of "You can't because you're a girl" "They can because they are boys" "You're just different" "Be a little lady" "Be quiet, be still, be pretty, be thin, be a girl, be a girl, be a girl!"
It drove me mad! These days I might have tried to transition if I knew that were even an option. The boys had everything I wanted and everything was so much easier and better for them. But, I finally found a few advantages in being a woman that helped me settle into my skin and gender. Motherhood is the major benefit. But, women who don't want to be mothers have all the more reason to rage and be miserable.
Naw.
If you ask guys they will usually say yes.
If you ask women they will say guys have more.
The reason. Guys see the things women get away with and go that unfair.
Women see the things guys get away with and go that's unfair.
But truth is women get away with certain things guys can't and men get away with things women can't and it kinda equals out

Only women will always say they don't, but there's a reason why women that transition into males always say it's much harder being a male.
No one gives a shit about guys. Girls are always protected and cared for. Girls get their dates paid for (unless they're okay going dutch). Girls usually have more of a say in court. Girls don't have to worry as much about making money if they're attractive. They have more fashion choices. More jobs available to them for inclusivity. More jobs available for pretty privilege. More mental health support.
There are tons of privileges women have that men will never have.
Women are and have been historically disadvantaged. I think the roll back on reproductive rights under the Trump administration is prof of how hard women have had to fight and how easy it is for a tyrant to take them away.
Trump bragged about the fact he overturned Roe v Wade
Women have the privilege of always being believed over the word of men in the US legal system. They can literally wreck your life if they feel like it and the courts and other women and many other men will support them. They get extremely favorable treatment in Civil, Domestic, and Criminal cases.
This has a lot to do with why men are now refusing to marry them.
I feel like they’re just held to a lower standard. In terms of tangible stuff? They’re not expected to carry a rifle when shit gets stupid. They get lighter jail sentences. Paternity courts heavily favor them. Education system is designed in such a way that they have an edge. Oh, and they have a lot of programs and spaces that are, “female only.”
Seen as more innocent and more likely to be a victim by the legal system and in most situations. If guilty, seen as more redeemable. Lighter punishments, more deserving of help from society. Mothers are favored by the courts. Not being mutilated at birth. "Women and children first"
I could give more examples, but these are the biggest ones, in my opinion.
You remeber when that one guy @sirderpsalot told @sirderpsalot123 it is impossible for women to be derps
Women can get away with clothing choices more so than men, don't know if that is a privilege? Probably not.
lol.
Absolutely 100 percent. Women can get out of work because of their menstrual cycle. Whereas men can have a herniated disc, peripheral neuropathy, or any number of debilitating conditions and we’re still expected to work. Women can be entirely financially dependent on a man, and she will get no judgment for it. Men who are financially dependent on women are seen as a joke. If a male teacher sleeps with his 16 year old student, society absolutely detests him. If a female teacher sleeps with her 16 year old student, people will think he’s a lucky kid. Marriage and divorce cater to women as well. Women are so privileged in our society it is unbelievable.
Yes, but those privileges aren't much worth. When it goes about real power and money being a woman is a disadvantage because everyone assumes you're opportunistic and not really trustworthy.
They have won’t be ridiculed or looked down upon for making minimum wages
Absolutely. All sorts of legal protections and incentives for job opportunities.
I'd say they are immune to the draft but no one gets drafted anymore in 50 years
Lmao no. Women having basic rights is having privileges 🤨🤨
If there are some extra privileges that women get then I must be missing out on them 🤔
@Apple1996
I think we're all probably missing out from these so-called "privileges... I'm certainly sure I am. lol
At least they do in America, they clearly get to have less consequences for their bad actions. Women get slaps on the wrist for committing crimes that they would crucify men for.
No. If they did, then they would be in higher places.
Show me those privileges ffs...
Being treated as an equal and respected human being shouldn’t be a privilege. It’s a right.
RAOFLMFAO...🤣🤣🤣
I'm too gen z to understand what that string of letters means
@wiltingrosepetal
Apparently it means:
Rolling Around On Floor Laughing My Fucking Ass Off.
wow
yeah we just say 'I'm dead 💀' when explaining laughter
I would say yes.. As well as rights..
I would go further and suggest that there is not one single legal right that men have which women do not.. Though the same cannot be Said going the other way. There are several legal rights that women have which men do not.
HELL, YES!!
Name them because I can't think of any?
