It can be disproven without footage of the incident if there was evidence that the accused was somewhere else at the time the accuser said that the incident took place.

Me too isn't about going to the cops to report something that happened to you, which was always allowed. Its about engaging in character assassination on social media whether the incident actually happened to you or not so it can easily be used to ruin someone's reputation.

We believe neither until evidence is forthcoming, it's called due process. Innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. It is designed to reduce the rate of false imprisonment especially by those who seek to wrongfully convict someone of a crime.

It was a technicality.
He took a plea deal admitting his crimes in 2005.
The reason he was set freee was this second trial violated his right of being tried for the same crime twice

Wrong. He was set free because the conviction was INVALID. Therefore he has NEVER BEEN CONVICTED IN A COURT OF LAW BY A JURY OF HIS PEERS, which makes him innocent.
Lots of people are plea bargained into admitting to crimes that they did not commit, you should do some research, and not surprisingly it affects people of color more.
