No, not really. That just below poverty level in the US. I believe poverty level is defined as those making under $14,500/yr. A grand a month puts you at $12,000/yr.

If that's what your job pays you, either look for a better paying job, or get a second job.

only if you have someone else to pay for food, housing and utilities. I have lived on as little as $5,000 per year... I paid for utilities and bare necessities but we were living in conditions that were borderline homelessness and only able to go to the grocery store once per month. I make about 3.5 times that now and still struggle to pay for everything and have zero budget left over after food, clothing, rent and utilities in case of emergency or for basic health care needs.

I used to. I was working for Ubereats and deliveroo. I’m not sure if you’re familiar with those delivering companies but I was working with them for some time. It’s flexible too. That would be an okay job on the side… It’s an option though I guess

I currently deliver for Uber Eats, DoorDash, and GrubHub. It's very flexible and I can work as much or as little as I want. You just need to read the rules and get a car within their age range.

But a thousand a month is not good in America. My rent is $700 for a one bedroom, and that's cheap in my city.
