To those who are saying “this is what the majority really think” and believe that is a good thing, it’s not. It means that the majority of people are moving backwards and not forwards. It’s always been like this but the good will always win eventually. Our quality of life has evolved because of progressive ideas not conservative ones. We’d still be hanging witches and reading at candle light if it that were the case

I would imagine it's because G@G is less regulated than a lot of the "mainstream" sites.

Obviously, we have moderators, of which I am one, but as long as the posters are not violating the site rules, they are free to post whatever they like. I, at least, try to be as fair as possible to both sides, even if I don't necessarily agres with one, or the other, or even both at times.

It's just a reflection of the current political landscape. The last couple years seemed like there were a lot more left wing posts than there were right wing, and now there seem to be more right wing posts than left wing.

It just waxes and wanes by who side is currently in power. The minority seems to be more vocal about their discontent, whereas the majority is more comfortable, and has less frustrations to vent. If Republicans win the next election, it will likely swing back the other way.
