I think in most corporations there is a target on anyone’s back who doesn’t conform to groupthink or who is unwilling to play in the ethical gray area to make executives (or their friends) richer. It isn’t always relevant to line workers, but once one reaches middle management it is impossible to hide.

None of those have anything to do with upholding beliefs, but more to do with upholding opinions - which makes you a dumbass to fall for the setup.

Beliefs are mostly protected under law. But most dumbasses can't tell the difference and end up breaking the very laws they claim to be upholding.

Public shaming is libellous, and you can sue if you can prove they have lied against you.

Being cancelled is more to do with you not being able to make your assertion with any credibility, but falling short of being libellous.

You cannot lose your employment for any illegal reason.

You cannot be arrested for any illegal reason.

You cannot be incarcerated without court and appeal.

Thus you're making drama, by claiming "all of the above". As only an outright terrorist/anarchist would be under that bracket, and they don't care about the law anyway!

I live In Australia. The most tyrannical 5 eye country hands down. In 1993
bicycle helmets became mandatory. People were angry at first then they accepted it and eventually most Australians started to believe that not wearing one was stupid and reckless despite the vast majority of humanity as a whole disagrees.
What is right and wrong anyway? Perhaps I need to wait for further government thought instructions like a good little Aussie robot.
Like boiling a frog if you bring up the temperature slowly enough in will not jump out of the pot until it's to late.
You will be surprised what freedoms most people are going to let go without a fight. mankind is much more lemmings like then you realize.
I Hate my authoritarian country and Most Australians love regulation so my perspective is not well shared. Very unpopular laws are introduced anyway while claiming to be a Democracy.
I'm to ill and in too much pain to work or immigrate to another country. so I'm planning to leave this world soon. For people like me if you can't have freedom then I'll take death.

That’s not going to happen. The people created the states as servants to themselves. The states created the constitution and signed the agreement among themselves. The states then created the federal government as servants of the states and granted them a small amount of territory to operate within. That’s the hierarchy. There is no government that can take American’s constitutional rights. There are just Americans that can break the law and bring civil war on their own people. At the end of the day though, the military and police force are made up of everyday ordinary volunteer citizens. If they keep their oath to the constitution and look out for their family and neighbors all will work as it was planned to work. The government will not outright create a tyranny. Guns will still be legal to own, free speech will still be legal. What will happen is two things:
(1) The government will impose so many limitations on these rights that it will essentially no longer be a right.
(2) This will be widely accepted and promulgated long before the government essentially removes these rights by society.
The end of freedom will truly occur when American society accepts tyranny and American culture celebrates it. Until then, there will not be a decisive day when a tyranny is established (ex: constitution banned).
Their strategy is "Slow & Steady". As long as mass indoctrination of the younger generation continues, they will eventually win purely by creating a new non-American breed of Americans who will vote to remove multiple rights themselves.

@MCheetah Patriotism doesn't mean Conservatism. With thinking skewed so far left, often these "Conservative" Zoomers believe they are fairly right-wing, yet on actual economic policy (for example) they are centrist if not slightly left.
I think these people called be pulled onto our side, but currently, my impression is that there are not many real conservatives, rather they are many more who are not far-leftists. I think back to my experience with people my age, so perhaps in your area Zoomers are actually right-wing.

You probably don't want to hear this, but conservatism isn't exactly the "right" solution, either. Both the left and right have some good parts to them, but a lot of both sides have some really stupid, backwards thinking to them, and a compromise between the two is what's best for the US, or any other Western country. We can keep stuff like family values, the Constitution, and respect for the country and others, and lose some of the wacky stuff like wokeness, religious zealotness, and having the government control people's bodies (whether that be forced vaccines or abortion bans). I'd call it Libertarianism, but modern "libertarianism" is just elitist garbage. My point is, keep the federal government out of our daily lives as much as possible.
