We no longer have military "leaders". We have higher ranking "managers". No one in the military knows HOW to make a decision anymore. Most of the decisions made now are pretty worthless and cause more problems than they solve.

Yep. The news refused to report the full truth. Iraq thumbed their noses at the UN and proceeded with their uranium enrichment program. We KNOW Saddam had weapons of mass destruction because he gassed the Kurds in northern Iraq a year or so prior to the US entering Iraq.

Also what was poorly reported was the fact the US recovered close to 150 tons of yellow cake uranium. That's the stuff used for enrichment to military grade weapons. It was sold to Canada 🇨🇦 so they could use it for their nuclear power plants. We also discovered volumes of 55gal drums of nerve agents. Sure, they were past their expiration time, but which one of you wants that crap sitting in your garage?

What we SHOULD have done is continue to hold an occupying force there. When we went into Afghanistan 🇦🇫, we SHOULD have targeted EVERY Taliban member and killed them on the spot along with their entire families. No mercy. I know that sounds hateful, but that's how you deal with terrorists.

Finally, we SHOULD have taken out Iran too, since we had forces in both surrounding countries. Again, target every member of the Iranian government - AND their families, and 150% destroyed every nuclear capacity they have, permanently.

I KNOW that's not the most diplomatic way to deal with countries, BUT it IS the most EFFECTIVE way to deal with nimrods in the Middle East.

Iraq was condemned by the UN with an overwhelming majority of nations against their intent to develop nuclear weapons or technology. Their actions fomenting terrorism as well as how they treated the Kurds within their own nation led to several UN resolutions against them.

Saddam continually thumbed his nose at the UN, violating those resolutions multiple times. If you're going to have a world body declare a resolution against any nation, what good is it, if there's zero enforcement? The US has provided the "teeth" for those resolutions for several decades.

Both China and Russia "mostly" abide by world safety and military requirements for nukes.

You read too fast and forgot the key word I used - "mostly".

Everyone KNOWS China, Russia, and N. Korea all act out and saber rattle often, especially the NK nimrod. But, for the most part (there I go again, using that word), they behave on the world front.

At the same time, it's excessively conceivable some crazed dictator in the middle east could easily go on a jihadist rant and decide to anhilate some other country entirely using sarin gas, a nuke, you name it. They're known for enjoying the whole process, believing they're doing Allah's work, committing suicide while conducting terrorism. Iran specifically exports it as much as possible. Thats why NO ONE could conceive as to WHY Obama flew in a few pallet loads of BILLIONS of dollars to those assholes. You don't need to be a political scientist to figure out Iran WILL use that $$ for terrorism and to strengthen their nuclear capabilities.

If you can't figure out the difference between Russia and the other 2 Asian countries compared to the Islamic wingnuts, then you need to do FAR more research. You certainly don't need my opinion since you seem to think trusting any Muslim is something we should routinely do for foreign policy.

I am from Greece just I am looking from another perspective and I am right about it, yeah let's say America was right to go in Iraq but what about Afghanistan, why they went there and after many years they come back from there?

Tracing the roots of what happened on 9/11 2001, led us to Afghanistan, where Osama Bin Laden was hiding. Whomever was helping him, whomever was financing him, wherever he was specifically, was going to be destroyed. Ultimately, we found him in Pakistan (another group of people I personally distrust). Nonetheless, we should have targeted EVERY Taliban member and shot them on sight, no questions asked. While we were there, Afghanistan enjoyed relative peace amongst themselves. The Gov't there was somewhat limited in what they could do.

Leaving was a good move, but leaving the Taliban in place was stupid on our part. Most Americans are glad we left, but the way we did it... unbelievable. Leaving BILLIONS of dollars in usable equipment, leaving usable weapons and ammunition. And worst of all was leaving our people along with Afghanis we promised to bring to America. The idiot in the Whitehouse did this. As a former military man, he committed treason. You don't announce a withdrawal months ahead of time, giving your enemies the opportunity to make that process all the more difficult. And bringing thousands of Afghanis that we have no idea who they are, means we jeopardize the US homeland by bringing in terrorists. God alone knows what additional diseases they brought with them too. The whole plan was a complete disaster. It couldn't have been done in a worse way.
