I’m fine with fundraisers, normally, but this uses backhand methods to force people to give money.
“If you don’t help give money, I’ll be stuck here, and then everyone will know it was you…”
Don’t put people in a position where they feel guilted into providing funds
I wasn't really sure about the whole thing tbh, was really just looking for other opinions
One of my jobs did this every year. One person enjoyed being arrested by the officers. Lol
Dont get me wrong bit unsure bout the whole thing, though at same time sure it would be an experience also. My friend seems to want to do it
It is a fun way to do a fund raiser at your company
This one wouldn't be involving the company I work for, this one would be just a random one to sign up for
We used to do the sort of opposite we played Jail break.
see how far you could get from outside a prison.
lots of hitchhiking and persuading people to give you stuff for free.
we had 2 guys get to Tenerife without passports lol
Seems seedy.
In what sense?
The underhanded nature of coercing people to give money to get their loved ones out of a wrongful imprisonment.
What happens if they don't raise enough money?
That was one thing I had been wondering too
Definitely wouldn't agree to it before you find out.
Though apparently you raise funds in advance and you'll be given access to a phone to make up for any shortfall on the day, unsure about it all anyway though
