Do you donate money to any charities?

I do, but I still have that nagging feeling that is my money really going on the people that actually need the help. Do you trust charities to help people?

No, I don't HAVE the money for that, now but, if I was Elon rich, I'd not only "donate", I'd give it TO the actual people that need it rather than the factions that CLAIM they're gonna give it to those that need it!! NO FUCKING MIDDLE MAN!!! You don't wanna live in a cardboard box anymore but can't afford a house? Here's a collection of houses for sale, pick out the one you want and I'll buy it for you!!
How long have we been giving money to help the starving people in Ethiopia? They should've collected billions, if not trillions, by now!! Why are those people still starving? For fucks sake, we could've built them dozens of farms with that money by now and TAUGHT THEM how to run them, themselves LONG AGO!!! I saw a stat on some charity yesterday (I'm pretty sure it was one that asshole Bono is always "raising money for") where, they'd collected something like a couple million for whatever it was but only about 10% of the money actually went TO the actual cause!!
I used to collect money for cancer cures until I discovered that most, if not ALL of the money that goes to those causes gets pocketed rather than TO the cause!! AND THEN, a few years later I discovered that there's ALREADY NEARLY 400 KNOWN, NATURAL CURES FOR CANCER, quite a few we've known about for at least 100 YEARS!!! WHY THE FUCK AREN'T WE USING ANY OF THEM? CHEMO AND RADIATION are NOT ON THE LIST!!! I believe that anybody that's lost a loved one to cancer should sue the pants of their doctors and/or the medical industry for NOT curing those people when they had the chance!!

The sad truth is that they don't want to cure them. They want to keep them sick so big pharma can keep getting more money. If they were cured they wouldn't get any more money from the person's insurance company.

Exactly!! And they even see to it they get sick by telling them they have a problem that needs drugs but the drugs they give you cause more problems that require MORE drugs to "fix" and the whole thing snowballs!! Next thing you know, you're taking a dozen pills a day when you didn't need any at all!!
The thing is, I know this, you know this, my aunt and mother knew this, I'm sure countless millions of others know this, by now so, why isn't ANYONE fighting this?

I donate to the society for the blind, I had a girlfriend was legally blind, I took her to the offices they had i her town , she was hoping to find help finding a satisfying job. Not only did they help her find a career, but they hooked her up with many many items to help her In day to day living. This was all without requiring a dime. If you want to know your money's reaching those in need this is a good way. Also , and this may be way outdated, my dad was with the Corp of engineers back in the 60s, in 64 a massive earthquake rolled through Alaska on good Friday. In the soon after days that followed the red cross and 3 other big charities had a meeting with the C. o. E. for the purpose of seeing what relief they could offer. The Red Cross was the only one that showed up ready to play , their "nearly exactly response was we have x hundred beds available now , by the end of the following week well have this many more, over the years for any number of reasons I've been involved with some of the others, I have no reason to believe this has changed. thanks

Generally no. Because like you said, I don’t trust these organizations. However I have and started way way back as a teen, I was already making money and was sending $5.00 monthly to sponsors a child in another country. Then they send me pretty mail return labels. I got annoyed that they spent money on something I have never asked for. That made me stopped donating to these charities.
nowadays, I tip 25-30% or more in restaurants/gas stations or surprising someone at a checkout line in a supermarket because I know they work hard and can use the extra tip/food for their families.

Beginning in my late 20s when I had a high paying job, I used to donate to quite a few organizations whose missions I supported. Planned Parenthood, homeless shelters, Native Americans, pro-2nd amendment organizations, no-kill animal shelters, and many more.
I also gave money to people on the street and still do on occasion.

In the 2000s, I helped with the start up of a local homeless shelter.

When I retired in 2016 and went on Social Security, I cut way back on donations, but I still send a few bucks here and there to some organizations.

We're sponsoring a Catholic missionary who works for a college ministry program. And we tithe regularly at our church. We've budgeted for charitable giving, but haven't really been able to discuss other charities.

When I used to drive I would give cash to the people who were at the freeway entrances holding up their signs.
One sticks out in my mind that I will never forget.
My son was in the hospital 🏥 on life support and I was all stressed out.
I was driving to the hospital to be with him and there was this chick holding up her sign. I had 2 twenty dollar bills in my wallet and I gave her one and I kept one for myself.
She jumped out of the bushes and asked me if I was sure I wanted to give her that much money. I said of course. Then she said God bless you.
It made me feel better inside because I helped someone who needed it. And I really needed to feel better inside!🙂
