#2 and #3 are spot on, which is why it's so funny to hear each party's radicals to mid supporters go at each other. Right now:

** The Republicunts think they own the high moral ground (as in Trump never lied, ever, and the election was stolen) and think they are the only ones who can "save" this country because... they're always right. They like the words "socialists" and "communists" to describe the Dems. They believe in "freedom" - the kind of freedom found in George Orwell's "1984", and free choice, as long as it's their choice and it becomes the only choice. Hence, they loathe being called authoritarians or anything that really is - the exact opposite of freedom. They believe in completely unregulated "free markets" and have no sense of how monopolies affect that.

** The Demodopes think they are the proper moral choice and represent real freedom. They love to describe the Repubs as authoritarian dictators who clothe themselves in a flag while they restrict or eliminate your freedoms. They tend to be socially gullible and will often over-react to the needs of a very small few by condemning those who don't agree with them. They believe, (and rightfully so) that corporations can not be trusted to monitor and police themselves, and that it's the job of government to do so, for the betterment of all citizens. They do believe in free markets, but with regulations protecting both people and environment. Overall, their wealthy are satisfied with less wealth than their counterparts due to the regulations.

Chomsky, and many others, are correct. The ONLY party going on is the "business" party. The two factions are almost always at odds with each other, which makes for a great distraction from what's really taking place. While there is the potential for a wide array of "era's" to take place (economic expansion, contraction, depression, prosperity, etc), some better for the populace than others, the bottom line always is ---follow the money. That's all you need to do, and you'll see how your little slice of income is only important so long as you remain a cog that helps turn the wheel of the wealthy.

Basically they are trying to have a single-party system because they were probably jealous of what the KGB and Soviet government could get away with by having a single party with few checks.

Basically, you have two bought and paid for parties loyal to themselves rather than the people.

On the red team, you have war-loving people who directly profit in American suffering and regularly convince people to vote against their own self interests because of some grander narrative about where American society should be. If they don't vote against their interests, they call Democracy a sham and we should have representation based on ethnic lines.

On the blue team, you have pretty much the same damned thing in most ways. Except they want people voting before they understand the nuances of government. Then when black people die they go dress in African robes and kneel, and then give a talk where they self-flagellate saying they're sorry for being white. Knowing full well that nobody asked for this "white-guilt" except white people who use self-hate to clear their conscience of something they aren't necessarily guilty of, rather than actually doing jack shit to actually help minorities. White guilt and self-flagellation is the "thoughts and prayers" of social issues.

Like, imagine you're starving. You go beg someone for food. What do they do? They don't give you food, then say they are horrible people and starve themselves in your behalf. WTF we just wanted help not some performative guilt-ridden self-hatred.

But that's how the blue party do.

Meanwhile both are owned by fossil fuels, pharmaceuticals, Wall St investors, etc. They are there so that you have an illusion of choice so that can run things as a single party anyway.

Politics: Keep people divided, distracted and fighting against one another. So hardly anyone goes looking for that massive closet full of skeletons out government is constantly shoving more skeletons into.

It's pretty simple to understand. Money and power are extremely corrupting influences. Both are fully capable of corrupting the best of us. Human history has shown this time and time again. But people on both sides of the political isle treat people on their chosen side as they can't be corrupted. Yet politics is full of two of the most corrupting influences in existence and your elected officials are just as fallible as any other human.

Oh and stop with the hero worship crap. Because even hero's can be corrupted. Once again history has shown this time and time again. Also even Superman has been corrupted several times with disastrous results. So stop worshiping your elected officials and treating them like superhuman.

The Republicans don't try to actually solve problems. They spend the majority of their time and effort defending themselves from the constant slander from media and democrats. The Democrats try to solve problems, while only virtue signaling, but end up making the problem worse. Then they blame the Republicans for their own failures and try to brainwash the population, with the help from the media and now big tech, that they're (Democrat's) the only ones that can solve the problems they created. We're actually seeing it playout in real time.

Support China, illegal immigration (videos of them transporting them at tax payer expense all over USA now), criminals (release criminals who murder others last year repeatedly on record), recreational drug use, promoting transgenderism, homosexuality, etc. to kids as young as 3 in elementary and pre schools (plenty of evidence of it, including the books they put in their classroom libraries), support forcing a dangerous vaccine on children without parents' consent for 12 + (proposed law in California), censor people on social media for "misinformation" even when links, video, audio are supplied as evidence, support racism against White people, oppose Christians and churches (even locked down churches while leaving bars open).

All of that has multiple sources of evidence all over.

Republicans represent only the rich, democrats try to represent both the rich and the poor.

Republicans focus entirely on messaging to win elections, democrats try to deliver on substance but usually get blocked by republicans.

Republicans benefit immensely from "both sides" people projecting on them the same validation that democrats earn. Democrats in no way ever benefit from "both sides" arguments.

Granted that both parties what to have complete control over the lives of people in this country. It is the method each party is trying to use that is the difference. The Democrats want to cancel the US Constitution and have direct government power over the citizens. The Republicans wish to do within the US Constitution but have the mega corporations do the controlling of people for them through employment and economics and they'll control the corporations through regulations and policies.
