How do Democrats and Republicans differ in belief?

I did try google searching this and it brought a list of examples, but like... do I even trust those? Republicans do not support gay marriage? Hard for me to believe a huge number of Americans are against gay marriage...

While Democrats tend to be more collectivist in nature, Republicans tend to be more individualist in nature. So when you look at the Republican party you’ll see a bunch of different groups with various opinions that are similar but not identical. Some of the smaller factions that tend to come together in coalitions are:

Conservatives generally want to preserve individual liberties that are outlined in the constitution and a free market economy. They like free trade. They don’t tend to like government regulations or labor unions that interfere with business. They don’t like high taxes. They generally want to reduce government spending.

Fiscal Conservatives would be similar in mind but are more focused on fiscal responsibility and reducing government debt. They have some common ground with classical liberals.

The Religious Right tend to see politics through the lens of their religion. They are made up of the Evangelical Christians, Roman Catholics, and Morons. The tend to take a harder views on religious morality, family values, and general traditions. They would be considered Social Conservatives. They are more likely to speak out against homosexuality being that it conflicts with their religious views, but generally it is from the stance that they just don’t want the government interfering in their religious freedoms. For example they don’t want to have to be forced to marry a gay couple in their church that isn’t part of their congregation or they don’t want to be forced to make a wedding cake that depicts two guys ass ramming on top of the cake.

Then there are the Neoconservatives which are more often war hawks that believe in interventionist foreign policy to prevent large world wars. They tend to want to spread democracy and project American strength in geopolitics to maintain world stability.

There are various groups of people I guess would fall under cultural conservatives that tend to be more nationalistic in character and want to preserve cultural heritage and western values. Some are big on military tradition.

There are the Rockefeller Republicans which tend to be wealthier individuals around major cities that are more liberal on social issues, but still conservative on the economy and want a balanced budget, low taxes, free trade, deregulation, etc.

The Log Cabin Republicans advocate for limited government, strong national defense, free markets, low taxes, personal responsibility, and individual liberty. They often advocate for same-sex marriage and tax equity for domestic partners. Basically they think that’s non of the governments business.

The Jeffersonian Republicans (Libritarians) tend to fight for gun rights, right to privacy, limited government, no0interventionist foreign policy, low taxes, legalization of drugs, etc.

I’d say the bulk of the Democrats are Social Liberals. They think they act for the common good, but who really gets to decide what is good for everyone when people are use to being free… Basically that makes them authoritarian in nature because they want to decide for the group what is morally acceptable. They typically push for tons of social programs like medicare, medicade, universal health care, universal college education, more education funding, pollution regulations which makes them anti-fossil fuel and anti-nuclear, workers rights and unions, they are often anti-corporation and anti-wealth accumulation (anti-capitalism) which leads to concepts like wealth redistribution and reparations or universal basic income, they often champion social justice warrior causes like feminism, LGBTQ power, veganism, racist policies like critical race theory even though they say they are against racism, it's strange because they say they are for equality and civil rights but try to repeal civil rights legislation (don't ask me), legalization of marijuana, public housing, food stamps,

they are for gun control or stripping all second amendment rights, many are atheists that seem to hate religious freedom, they often want to regulate free speech and tell people what they can and can’t think, say, write, etc. because it might hurt someone’s feelings, they promote cancel culture, they promote censorship of people with opposing views, they want a highly regulated market economy and often interventionist economic polices where the government just starts printing money to bail out zombie corporations. They are often globalists and promote free trade to exploit cheap slave labor in other countries. Thus they like open borders to utilize migrant slave populations for their gain. When asked how do you plan to pay for it, they general have no answer and either just want to print the American dollar into dust or they want to tax people that have more money then them to the point where they are dead broke. They say they are anti-war many times, but often invade other nations out of some moral justification. They support identity politics and basically stir up nasty feelings in the have-nots and project a persecution complex upon them. They often prey on minority groups, poor people, and organized labor.

People that are openly communists and socialists generally side with the Social Liberals. You can probably guess why.

Green Party voters sometime side with them when they like their environmental and renewable energy plans.

Classical liberals tend to be independents now.

At one time there use to be a conservative coalition of Democrats called the Blue Dog Democrats, that were generally from the South East USA. They often were centrist on social policies but wanted fiscal responsibility in government. They were often pro guns rights and in favor of a strong national defense. They often were soldiers/veterans. On foreign policy they were generally internationalists that wanted political and economic cooperation around the world so peace deals and defensive alliances would be important to them. They often supported humanitarian aid around the world which was a tenant of their Christian charity. They were generally Christians and held the community in high importance. The Democrats have become too radical left and tend to be exclusionary if you’re not “ONE OF US”, so Blue Dogs have pretty much been exiled and are moderate to left leaning independents at the moment. They really haven’t been part of the Democrats since the early 1990s.

Left libertarians sometimes side with the Democrats. They are mainly about individual freedom and social equality. So when Democrats are all about civil rights they tend to be with them, but when Democrats are about bigger government and more taxes and regulation (pretty much always), they tend to be against them. In general they would be left leaning independents.

So in general the Democrats are authoritarian communists that are in denial and anyone that could be considered a true liberal is really an independent in America. There is a lot of double speak in the Democrat party and all sorts of undelivered promises...

Pretty simple to explain.
Republicans want to live like there back in 18s-19s and no changes. Which means not have equal rights for women, women cannot choose abortion, women cannot divorce from there husband, women cannot get equal pay, cannot be bosses. Then they want no Gay's or any LGBT people. They probably won't mind slavery on black people again. Since it is "Traditional". They don't care about climate and think half of science is lies. They think Communists run the world in some sorta secret society.
They think authority shouldn't be questioned longs if that authority is republican of course. They believe trump is an america hero. Mostly religious. Don't want tax which ya know is how society works but they haven't figured that out yet.

Democrats want a progressive future with many changes and equal rights for everyone, Your allowed to make your own decisions over stuff like abortion. Question all authority and normally don't even like who there voting. Believe in science. Less likely to be religious. Want LGBT to be accepted fully. Want Universal health care.

Once you manage to cut through all the dogma and buls***, you'll see the difference between Republicans and Democrats is surprisingly simple. At their core, Republicans and Democrats really just differ on one key issue, Republicans want a "Small Government" which is an economic and political system where there is minimal government involvement in certain areas of public policy or the private sector, especially matters considered to be private or personal. Where as Democrats want a "Big Government" which is a government that infringes upon the rights of indivedual citizens with its intrusive regulations and policies.

Every answer you get that is general is very wrong because they have divided random political talking points up into two sides on everything. They have both changed in recent years by a lot. Republicans favor limited government, religious values, and less taxes. Democrats favor more social programs funded by taxes, and often associated with "youth culture" and things associated with that (legalization of drugs and gay marriage). I myself am not really a fan of either so find it hard to generalize them so i did my best.
