Anonymous(30-35)+1 yThat video was almost two hours long so I couldn't watch much of it. I got far enough into it to hear his point that women today are less happy than at any point in recorded history. And men are obviously less satisfied with today's women than ever before. So something is very wrong with society today, and it seems clear that the changes we've made in the interest of "gender equality" are not achieving the desired results.
Women complain that that's because they are now expected to work in addition to taking care of the household chores and other things women were traditionally expected to do.
Men complain that they are still expected to be the primary breadwinners while also now being expected to take on half of all the things that were traditionally considered a woman's job.
Both are fair complaints. But why did things change? It wasn't men who asked for it, and their opinions were not exactly factored into the decision.
Is feminism finished? I think for all intents and purposes it has been finished for a long time now. Despite what the typically young females on GAG say, real life statistics show that the vast majority of women today do not support feminism. That's because they have been honest with themselves about what today's feminism actually is, and they don't support the dishonesty, divisiveness and sexism that characterizes modern western feminism. If you ask a feminist about all the harm modern feminism is doing and her response is "that's not real feminism" or "she's not a real feminist", you can be sure she's part of the problem.
Western feminism went off the rails a long time ago and it is irretrievably broken. We need to put it where it belongs, which is in the toilet.16 Reply

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yYes, FEMINism is finished, and here's why. FEMINism sells itself as being about equality, but as the anon post here from @AmandaYVR clearly shows, it's only about women's interests. A movement cannot fight for equality when it only cares about one side of the equation. That is, by definitions, opposite of equality. Not only does FEMINism not care about men's issues, it literally denies them and fights against them. There is no place in the modern world for such dishonesty and sexism. And that is why so few people today support FEMINism , and why it is finished. It's time for all of us to stop pretending modern FEMINism is about equality. It's time we leave FEMINism behind n favor of

Asker+1 yI mean I think hold back other men even more than feminism. When a guy is having a hard time dealing with break up or loses his job & is suicidal, what does he receive from other men? Concern? An ounce of compassion? No, he gets "get over it pussy" & men who see he's sad just drive around in their tesla's with their hot wife taunting him & laughing at him. Or if the guy tries to seek out help he's shamed again by other men for being weak, sensitive or lonely because of his poor outcomes in life. Or if he's struggling with women or doesn't have a girlfriend he gets shamed by other men for not being able to get laid. Yes, some women do it too, but that's usually when the guy gets hostile towards the women or she's just an asshole. I think that's why the male on male violence is so high. There use to be a thing called good sportsmanship when someone is the loser the winner will come up to them & show them respect for their effort, but nowadays it's just kick the loser while he's down until he gets tired of it & hurts himself. And then when he hurts himself they just say it's because he was crazy or again a "pussy". Not saying women are prefect angels or anything, but when sometimes (definitely not all the time) they are usually more nurturing & supportive towards the man in pain. But being nurturing is a very utilized natural insist that women have & is probably more important than the male dominance insist. The issue with women they're too passive & just go along with the asshole guy treating men like shit.
Opinion Owner+1 yWow, sorry you have such shitty friends. I don't so I can't relate.
Not sure what any of that has to do with feminism though.
Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yDo females still get raped?
Sexually assaulted?
Harassed?
Lower pay?
Fewer promotions and raises?
Hold a tiny fraction of executive positions?
Elected as country officials?
Governmental higher power positions?
Disrespected as being simple or unknowledgeable or untrustworthy just because of their gender?

Asker+1 yI agree. But I don’t like the gender war thing between men & women. But nobody really cares about men & women coming together to fix the problem. People just want to go back & forth “men are this”, “women are that”. The left, the right I’m tired of the back & forth. It’s getting no where. I don’t think any of these political movements help anyone. It’s just a way for politicians to promote themselves. But again nobody likes the reasonable solution of just dropping the & working together to change the system.
Opinion Owner+1 yI partly agree with that. But I think mostly you are hearing the squeaky wheels, not the quiet ones.
I know a lot of people on here (to varying degrees/levels) and there are tons who feel like you and me, and they behave pretty civilly. They'd much rather talk about anything other than 'gender war' shit.
That's where we come together, by pivoting the topic.
My sister said something to me once. It's always stuck with me. "Focus on the similarities, not the differences." She wasn't talking about gender, just all people, relationships.
We will always have differences, lots of them. But we are also 99.8% the same genetically as apes, so wth are we doing with all this bickering?
Sometimes it seems really bad out there. But I tell myself this all the time - we don't hear the quiet ones, the moderates, the reasonable people. Cause they ain't bitching. They're busy living their lives.
Focus on the good people you know. Develop those relationships.
It's your choice to ask questions like this. You can ask something different too.
(I tend to look at it as snack food vs. very hearty sustenance vs. desert. We can have all three. Just vary up the amounts.)
Asker+1 yWe point fingers at individuals too much. Time have changed & we need each other now more than ever. But in simpler times you could just open up the lid of a car & you know what to do on your own. Nowadays you open up the lid & you're like fuck I don't know. Making individuals feel like shit & making not want to patriciate with others is not helping anyone. A students doing bad in school they want blame it all on the student & say there's nothing wrong with education system or teaching method it's the students. And when kids need help with school work they don't say nothing because they don't want to get a dunce hat put on their now no one learns anything. We need encourage honesty. Lying & making other people feel shitty about themselves is going to make them lie too & not get anywhere in life. Look a divorces it's the wife & the husband taking stabs at each other he did this she said that & no one thinks about how the kids feel. It's someone did something by lying to yourself & not trying to figure out what went wrong & pretending you're prefect you don't get anything out of it & you go into another marriage or relationship & it's the same thing all over again "he did this." "she said that".

+1 yMost political movements start out with good intentions, but like many things in politics, it is susceptible to corruption.
It is my opinion that if people want to start a political movement, they'd better get their message across FAST... because the longer it drags on and the more attention it gets, the more it will be vulnerable to infiltration by people that want to spread their own twisted agenda. And they WILL be louder. Once that happens, it would probably be best to let the movement die with what ever integrity it has left.
The same appears to be happening to the Black Lives Matter organization, currently.10 Reply
+1 yYes. Unless they get up off their asses and help those in other countries that need it. Instead of creating their own oppression here in America and blaming men for it. Demonizing men societally in America.
30 ReplyFeminism is an ideological hate movement, it is the belief that Men and Boys are subhuman "oppressors", the root of all evil, that they deserve no love, compassion, or empathy. Feminists believe Women NEVER are under any circumstances responsible for negative things in society, even in a democracy where they are the majority of voters.

+1 yI don't think so, you need more real men in this world to end the feminism wave!
The majority doesn't like them but in the end they are getting what they want because some fools who have hight positions and powerful authority supports them!
Cut the snake's head and the rest will vanish by itself!00 Reply 12K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Like other social movements in the past, it surges and fades. But here it is. Many more feminists (Karens) have empty beds because they don't make their men feel loved. The feminist movement will fade for this reason alone. Most women need men.

Of course... probably for another 100 years in Western civilization and 200-300 years in other cultures will feminism still be needed.00 Reply

+1 yThere should be equality. I don't mind living in a world controlled by men as long as I am treated like a woman in it and not some object.
23 Reply- +1 y
@babygirl_s wise answer, real men will surely treat a real woman as a lady because just like women needs men and gives her wholeself to a man, the man must treat her the same!

When women stop treating themselves like objects, men will too
