If a woman gets pregnant by the person who raped her, should that baby be aborted or should that baby be born?

So if that baby is born, how will that woman take care of that baby? Or should that woman be married to the one who raped her? What do you think about it?

It's too bad we don't have a machine that can tell us which people only exist because one of their ancestors got raped. We could retroactively abort all of these leftover "mistakes". And if one says that isn't fair then it's also not fair to abort a child produced by rape.

Yes, I understand that it's inconvenient to the mother. It turns out that there's lots of inconvenient things in life and I support people doing the hard things more than the easy things.

Oh, and there's many ways to minimize the odds of being raped but feminists don't want to hear about how they shouldn't go jogging alone at 2am or how they shouldn't get blackout drunk when surrounded by strangers. Something about, "my freedom!" or "I can do whatever I want to". Yes, there's cases of women who did everything right & got raped but I'm talking about taking responsibility to avoid risks vs. not.

Id say there should be no say of that rapist and no she should not be married to her just bec he is biological father... yes if she wana marry him cuz she loved the guy before or loves somehow after which is obviously not sounding right but possibility is there lets say hypothetically if she wants to then yes she can.

And if she aborts, she should do asap. Or if she keeps the baby as single parent, no body should criticize her cuz now there is a life inside her tummy so how much would be hoin through her head in that whole being raped n gettin pregnant situation so just let her think n decide n support her in whatever she decides

I would do Plan B quickly after the attack. Beyond that, I would keep the baby. It's not the baby's fault, and it is half "me". I would want to speak to an attorney to know if the rapist could ever seek to be involved. That would be a nightmare and would make me probably put it up for adoption. Abortion would not be something I would be comfortable with, but I am ok with rape being an exception to any laws against it.

Under no circumstances should a woman be forced to marry her rapist.

Her body, her choice. However, it's a bad idea for the woman to marry her rapist. Why would anyone want to marry a person who sexually abuses him/her? If the woman decides to keep the child, the rapist should pay child support. If I was raped, I would get an abortion.

They should have the option available. A lot of times If they don’t have the option to abort, they will take matters into their own and self abort which can cause permanent damage or death. And I think it’s okay to abort in that situation if she decides that’s what she wants to do.

Totally up to her. If she thinks she's ready, and if she thinks the child won't be a constant source of ptsd. If it's early in the pregnancy, I would say err on the side of abortion. The further it gets, the more she should lean into delivery because that's when the topic gets more dicey.

You want to marry rapists to their victims? That's madness.
The woman should make the decision whether due wants to keep it. Issues over access and maintenance become difficult, and potentially open to abuse (a woman could cry rape to stop an ex from seeing his child but still claim maintenance from him). And what if a woman sexually assaults a guy and becomes pregnant? Does he get full custody?

Why not try adoption? I think that this discussion typically ignores this possibility as if it doesn't exist. Personally, I feel that the life that should be ended in the case of rape should be the rapist and not the innocent unborn child. My aunt was adopted by my grandparents; I don't know if her biological mother was raped, but she was considering abortion as a single mom at the time. Yet her decision to give up her daughter for adoption has been a net positive for my family and has only been positive for my life. I am sure that if you ask her she is glad her mother chose adoption.

That would be up to the woman and her beliefs. If she didn’t believe in abortion. Then giving birth would be her only option.
Once read a Reader’s Digest story about a woman that was raped. She did everything at the time to prevent a pregnancy. But everything failed. She sued the rapist for child support!
Heard of another where the rapist sued for shared custody?
I wouldn’t want to be in that position if I was a woman.
